Don't really know what went wrong but I would assume I had rod failure. Pull away from the traffic light normal, put into 2nd then put my foot flat and BOOM game over. Gona start moving things around in my garage today and push the car in and start stripping. If the head is not damaged I'm going to get another block and do forged internals and agu pistons. If the head is damaged I'm screwed and will have to get a complete motor

I don't think your foreign kidneys would survive the transit to the UK dude :(

If you're willing to donate a liver thought I could send an AGU engine your way, then I'd be able to drink more beer without worrying as I'd have a spare :laugh:

So sorry dude, That must be a ****e feeling :(!

Lol I don't drink nick so my liver is fresh! Its worth your A3 then lol

Ja tiaan its a doos feeling

Gutted mate... Keep us up to date with how you get on with the rebuild... Plenty of pics please

Wahahahahah!!! That can easily b fixed with a blow torch, a file and some copper compound... Hahahahaha

Lmao when I got the notification I already knew what picture was coming up! Nick your a laugh

Sorry Miggles. That one was too good not to share!

i'd happily give you my old agu bottom end, but its done 347 000 km, and it weighs more than i do so would cost the GDP of Luxembourg to ship over!

thats the damage so far all i can see is that the rod snapped by the small end and the rod hit the block and jammed it self in to the sump. i see no makings on the sleeve which i hope is a good sign and that the head is not damaged

ok so my mate lee says he might have a complete AUM bottom end for me and a set of AGU pistons.

the plan for the rebuild goes like this:

* AUM block
* AGU pistons
* forged rods
* new bearings and seals
* redo all valve stem seals and guides
* flow the head
* new oil pump

and all the other little stuff that goes with the rebuild
