Just a quick one folks,

Some of you may know Tony Spears, autoshine detailer that covers West Yorkshire and the world. He just had all four rotor wheels stolen off his A3 sportback.

The little scum bags have smashed the back window, used the cars own tyre iron and jack in the boot and removed all the wheels.
This apparently is a big problem at the moment so just be aware as best as you can.

Hope they get what they deserve......

I know this might be a silly question
But did alarm not go off ?

Don't know about the alarm as it was at his mrs work overnight due to the weather, locking nut was left in the car.....

You been a busy chap then Mark, but damn those wheels arent cheap at all either, glad I dont run expensive wheels tbh.

everyone moves their locking nut key from the standard location don't they?

I've never thought about it to be honest!

I'm going to hide mine somewhere else in the car when I get back home later on...

Is there a clever place to hide the nut? If so, I'd like to know! The thought of moving it elsewhere never crossed my mind but it wouldn't hurt to hide it somewhere else.

I always thought people doing this type of crime always came equipped with their own jack and a variety of locking nuts - this must have been a very opportunistic thief!

then you get done for going equipped if caught on the way to a job

and yes there is a place to hide it ;)

even if they dont get the locking nut
theres a nice lil tool that can remove any lockers in a few mins .

This is what Tony had to return to, can't imagine how gutted I'd be ........

Yes mate, would hate the thought of that happening to anyone let alone someone with a passion for cars. Will send you an email shortly Nigel and get the ball rolling with these bits, Hope your keeping well mate

Thats obscene man, they used the wheel well foam inserts to put the car on, OMG unreal.

Looks like an everyday car getting work done in a Halfords auto centre.

That must be gutting :/ I always made sure i got the car home in the snow to prevent this. Just an eye opener i suppose to those still with bad weather to just leave your car at home or place your staying over night.

thats preposterous.
desparate fools cant pay their way so they have to pinch some rotors in zub zero temperatures.

Yeah that sucks to come out & see your car like that.

No worries when you like mate :)

That's gut wrenching seeing the pics, hope they get the scumbags.

Yey again another mindless act of ****** unnecessary car crime.......I would inflict so much pain on these scum sucking low lives it would be legendary............theres only a couple of things that winds me up in this world and this is one of them. I hope they get found out real fast. What goes around comes around.

That's a quality idea but don't know how many would take up the offer. I'm sure the insurance will sort the bulk out but nice to hear a genuine offer from another car nut

I'm close to tears if I kerb an alloy let alone this :lmfao:

Those pics are scary.

I've got a mate in the locking wheel nut business, last year he was testing a new design which he claimed couldn't be removed without a key! I think I need to pay him a visit soon.

Best ones i think at the moment are with the metal ring that goes round the nut, so any no standard tool you put on it goes round and round.
