Head Unit

In my 2005 S Line i have the BOSE symphony double din unit, ive not really found out its full potential yet but i have just found out an ipod connection can be added, is this true and where would i go about getting one? Also as the unit looks pretty dated, what are my options in a replacement, what have you guys got?

lad at work got a double din unit from ebay, they do a4 version 200 and odd quid.

and in all fairness its a quality bit of kit all touchscreen dvd tv n that, good quality menus and sound, a real steal for the price, oem looking aswell

nice looking head unit but I use to work as a audio fitter. I would not recommend any unit apart from Pioneer or Alpine. it does look tempting at that price but the sound quality is poor from most of these units. don't get me wrong most people might not notice but when I have had a car set up for sound quality and jumping to best quality to medium quality you can tell the difference. when I brought my A4 it must have bose or I was not buying it. I might sound anal about it but I own a diesel the engine does not produce the best sound lol so at least the music should be at a decent quality.

I don't know if this would work with bose sound systems.

however at another point of view it supports Microsoft Windows CE.Net 6.0

so you might be able to port it and plug a OBD 2 code reader to it and have live engine data when your driving.

there from a uk supplier some of them.

lads at works had his in his corsa for around a month with no problems, sounds good looks good deffo one to consider at least.

and yeah u can have it running from diag to show up on the unit which is quite cool
