day insurance?

Has anyone used day insurance before and who did you find was cheapest? Getting sick of filling these ****** forms in to be told they dont insure a golf gti for some stupid reason or i have to be over 25, im 23. Is that a problem? or am i best of sticking my dad on it? Its only to go and pick up a new car, cheers

how much is it roughly mate? was just going to organise a flatbed to pick it up for £60 then remembered about short term insurance

all depends on what car age points etc etc
but its around £21/£30 for me

Used tempcover a fair bit and never had a problem with them, last time i used them the cost £27 for the day, but have never paid over £30.

just spoke to my dad now and he said you cant have 2 policies at once? is that true? Obviously hes got his car that hes insured on

if i use my mates cars i use the day insurance so im fully comp and there insured and i tell them
i also do it if i use anyones power bike so its fully comp

Suspect it's your age that's the problem. I used to pay about £20.

If you already have a policy, can you not just ring them and say that you are picking a car up and need cover for a day, they will provide the cover for you as temp additional vehicle.

I have done this previously, I was covered on my car and then borrowed a friends car for the weekend for my bro's wedding, just called my insurance, they charged me about £40 for the weekend.
