hello all after my last post if any1 read it i was planning to sell up. but now decided that i just cant part with my s3!
now i am on the hunt for getting my cars performance up to speed so i am happy with the power and hopefully be in time for gti international! just a few questions before tho.

1)my mileage is on 99k (i do plan on keeping the car for a while now will it be safe to mod with this mileage?i am taking out aa warranty to which does cover for clutch,gearbox,and engine so i thought it should be ok.)

2)the list of mods i want to get done are, stage 1 remap,decat,panel filter/or a induction kit,not too sure if its a dv i need?or if its called recicurculation valve i just want the woosh sound and to help with the turbo? and a tip.

while looking for these parts i just want to make sure i am buying the right things for my s3 its the 210bhp engine. so i am going to post a few links if any1 could tell me if price wise they are ok and if they are the right parts! if any one has these parts and wants a quick sale to please let me know!ps my car is completely standard at the moment!

remap will be getting booked with ben im sure a lot of you all know him.

In terms of stage 1....I got a B5 TIP from Bill @ Badger 5 from here. As you have a 210bhp version- you may need the TIP that has been made to cater for vehicles without ESP. Not sure if yours has ESP or not- but the link you posted for the SFS is for an S3 with ESP.....

The B5 kit included a TIP, heat shield and cone filter. This added to a Forge 007P or 008 along with a Stage 1 remap gave the woosh sound that you're after.

For a DP and De-cat, I'd contact SamBryant from here as he is a representative for Relentless and will get you the best prices available. I got my goods delivered in 4 days after payment.

cheers thanks for the reply. iv just gone for a k&n panel filter for now!ordered that just now. has sam got a contact number or anything i could get hold of him or a website?il check his decat and dp out see what prices he can give me.and yes your right i dont have the esp button so i would need a specific tip for my car.any ideas of where i could get one for my car from? thanks again

Its designed for K04 turbo'd cars like your S3 so will fit.... it even says S3 in the listing :)

I rang the person up and asked would this fit onto my direct sstandard system he said yes it would but its just a headache to fit? so now im guessing iv been misold there?

iljust send that decat back or cancel the order before it gets sent out. any ideas of where i could purchase a decat from to fit onto my standard system?or how much i should look at paying roughly thank u kindly again for ur help mate!
 
Pipewerx do the correct decat only part for your car,have a look at their other listings iirc its £189..

so il order that instead..do u know what sort of power gains i could see with that decat,remap,forge valve and a tip?? just roughly
 
To be honest mate the downpipe is the restriction cats or not... decat will realistically only make it sound a bit louder...

The relentless (or pipeworx) 3" downpipe with decat or sports cat would be a better option IMO even when paired to a std system

ahh too late now iv just ordered them parts now

just spent a whopping £460 ! then its time for a remap only thing is rtech have said they wont fit any of them mods for me so il have to get someone to try fit them on for me before i take it down for a map. and another bad thing is delivery for the tip wont be till 12-13th feb!

other then that cant wait!!!!!!lol

As tuffty says really..the decat alone doesnt really do much (mines not even that much louder) its just a ballache at mot time..to give you a rough idea i hav the same mods exactly + non res cat back and it reads a constant 271bhp on the liquid gauge (bam 225 though)..
 
Im not to worrie come mot time as i knw a decat friendly garage lol! So shouldbe ok!as much as id change the order now its been placed il c ow i get on with them then go from there if its not givin me as much sound as i wanted then i might just purchase a cat back either miltek or a non branded one. Just cant wait to get them parts together any idea on how much i should pay to get the dv and tip fitted?i knw the decat wil be a bit but just tryna work out fitting for them 2 parts? Thanks
 
You should of p.m Sam Bryant ! I think downpipe and Decat from his guys are about £240 delivered to your door.
When I ordered through him I paid on the sunday , Tuesday morning knock at the door BOOM it was here ! Quicker delivery from USA than uk eBay sellers!

Yes another firum member called martin said the same thing to!im going to see if i can cancel the order of ebay if thats not a big issue then il see if sam has that in stock n c what i can do just depends on what will happen with the ebay order first lol. Im gna do a post now and see if any1 has his number!

nos he said hes sold
out at te min with the decats but has the downpipe and a 200cell sports cat for £290 am i better of with that then the decat im guessing mot shod pass and no engine management light either?

was going to order it mate..til i rang a few garages and they said it would cost me £250+ as its not an easy job to remove and fit so iv decided to leave the downpipe and sports cat for now as iv already spent around £550 lol a grand on mods in 1 month is a bit too much to spend in 1 go lol
