Black Dip Stick - available??

Is there a black dipstick within the VAG OEM range?

The A3/S3 dipstick is orange as you will know and I would like a black one. I could paint it but want to keep it OEM!

Plastidip is the future. I got a can to try it out about a week ago and its my new favourite thing. Just making a list of what I'm going to do with it. High up on the list now is my dip stick lol

I got the billet dipstick from Gruven Parts. Big improvement over the orange, although harder to read the oil level.

mate there is this one from gruven parts and its stronger then OEM , just got one myself orange looks bad in the engine bay

Another vote for plastidip here. I've done a few little bits here and there now including white iPhone cables and iPhone 5 lightning adaptors which apple only sell in white for some reason. Get a can and you'll have loads left to do a few more things when you get the bug

Im having a go at carbon wrapping my gaiter surround today although I expect I won't get quite as good a finish with that stuff.

Sorry to post not relating to the dip stick but saw you're car on Performance 360. Ive got a Revo map, Neuspeed intake & Milltek cat-back.

What else have you changed prior to going to Stage 2+, have you changed the clutch, fuel filter & intercooler?

Prior to 2+ I changed the fuel regulator valve to the one from the RS4. If you check my thread you will see the differences in port sizes. Also you would need the turbo down pipe from milltek to match onto the cat back as well as changing the clutch and OEM flywheel/release bearing.

I plasti dipped my dip stick and its been fine.

I got 5 litre tins of the stuff here, if you want I can properly dip your stick ninja and send it back. save's trying to spray it.

I got black, gun metal and florescent red.

The Bentley W12 engine has a black dipstick - should be the same on the W8 and W12 used in the VW range.

Think there's a black (or maybe dark grey) one... Definitely seen a non-orange dipstick within the past year. They're all orange so anyone can find it quickly. If you'd take more than 5 seconds to find a black dipstick thigh, should you really be under the bonnet in the first place?
