K04 Threaded insert replacement?

The Wurth Timeserts are mega expensive for the tiny kit you get. £1 an insert too for when you use the 5 that come with the kit. Far better than heli-coil though in my opinion.

I have a dud K03 down the shed, so will see if I can get the inserts out of that and get some detailed measurements/drawings made.
im sure the ko3 are just tapped mate..

Last time i contacted Wurth i had to buy a box of 50 @ £78 or something...and yes i have an account with them..,, not a random cash sale, as we all know what happens to there pricing if so...

thats all i know is what bager5 told me earlier is m14x1.5 into M10x1.5 is the thread adaption if you can get them and get price loads of people need them

I'll get some cnc'd up..

i should be ok to draw up whats needed from the dead k04's here.. (robbed of their inserts already!)
they must be poplar what can we use to keep them will abit of tread lock be ok?
 
Has anyone solved the misterious whereabouts of the elusive inserts ? Or did badger makes some up. I need 1 and have two out about 2ml. Took me 2 days to drill the fri@@in bolt out guys i need help. Pleaseee ???
