Back again, ello peeps, need your expertise.....

i have an avant with climate control and electric seats, can i retro fit memory to seats and swap out climate control for one with auto recycle. seats are heated.
does anyone have the parts i will need if it can be done.
Theres probably be a few more things you can help with but for now theres a warm up.
i see a couple of old faces/names from the b5 days, hows it going chaps.

For memory seats it will probably depend if you have the wiring in the loom which you have already, then will need coding in VCDS, plus the seats of course. I thought you used the 'econ' button to select between recycled air and air from outside the cabin?

I believe the 'ECON' button disables air conditioning (not fully). The button with the curved arrow is recirculation.

Iknow where the recycle button is but in the x5 and the range we have auto recycle as well as recycle and it works really good in fact it makes it seem like the s4 is polluting me.
ive never smelt a bad smell or exhaust fumes in them cars but the minute i go 20ft behind an old car in a4 it stinks of fumes.
thats why i want auto recycle, i see it is an option just wondered if it was easy as buying the new one and sawpping.

im asking this because my wifes x5 and my range has the memory on the seats,
ive noticed on my s4 that the memory goes in the door shut so i was thinking that it might be as easy as buying the module that go in the door pocket and bobs your uncle.

You're going to need the J136 Memory seat controller...I think it goes under the drivers seat....and the door memory controls will connect to the Driver door control unit.

Alot of wiring ...but very do able.

Get the wiring diagram fro your car and re create it...I dont know if you can buy it...you could try the dealers or TPS.

Your parts catalogue would have to be a copy of ETKA 7.3 which is what the dealers use.Available on ebay, but it has its limitations ie price updates, and vin enquiries.Still good though

everytime i copy and past etka 7.3 into flebay i end up with this.
