I had a text off the wife to be saying she's trying to pick a wedding song.
She said no to my selections of Alice Cooper - Poison, Luise Armstrong - What A Wonderful world, Black Sabbath - Iron and a couple more.

She currently likes Mud - Dynamite and as much as I like the song, there is no way I'm dancing to it.

Got me thinking, what did you want as your wedding song but the wife said no to and what did you end up with?

It must be love - Madness
and ended up with
Al Green -- Lets stay together
all good!

We had Jason Miraz - I'm yours. Bit different but all down to personal preference and what she agrees with ;)

My first dance was n trance set you free

Blimey, bit of a girlie thread this one isn't it! I will have to ask the wife what our wedding song was, but if I do she will get suspicious, so I will leave it as I can't remember.

I thought you might! My wife loves all this stuff.

A bit worrying all these fellas talking about first dances, next it will be what flowers did you have on the tables!

Sheesh.

We not had a good girlie thread for ages Mark, its a refreshing read and hope your wife is enjoying reading it as well. :)x

She's just been going through loads for a playlist, but think we're going with Ellie Golding's version of - Your Song for the first dance/shuffle.

Oo that's a good one.
Flowers or no flowers?

I'm not really into all mushy crap but interested in what others had.
I'd happly not have a dance and half the traditional mushy crap.

That's a good song.
Not sure if I prefer the Elton John version or not.

Scott this is perfect:

We should travel back to the 80s and have some cheese music?

But to be fair, I could not be assed to watch it all, so I skipped it waiting for someone to burst in and something entertaining but nothing happened, so I closed.
Did I miss any thing?

Just the song, I didn't expect you to sit through 4 mins of Neighbours :slapped:

If and when I get married i want to turn up say yes then leave get ******. None of this gay *** flowers and butterfly sequin shiny women's over drive brain mush stuff.

But if I pick a song out of them mentioned it would be black Sabbath - iron man

For some reason I thought "bring your daughter to the slaughter " would be fine but the mother- outlaw said. No.
Can't think they not ......

I strongly object to Ellie Goulding and your song, it's atrocious. The original, or Moulin rouge version is where it's at.

well on our day i wanted this........................,

but i was not allowed it! :(
we had to decide on one song together! which was so pants i cant remember what it was!
my bad?

Haha great thread coz I've never really forgiven the Mrs for saying no to Elvis, Suspicious Minds.. It was the line "caught in a trap" she didn't find funny! lol

However we did agree on Dusty Springfield, The Look of Love!

What a great thread for a car forum!

We had our first dance to wonderful tonight - the choice was limited to what the band would play, though perhaps not being given too much choice made life easier
