Been out and about in my S4 with a set of Winter tyres over the whole weekends. Don't know what the fuss is all about. Steep hills, ungritted country lane, 6 inch snow, not a single problem. Feeling kind of bad watching people abandon their cars while I had so much fun.

& if you could lick your balls you would :p

S4 and winter tyres are massive fun, the biggest problem is getting passed all the stranded cars littering the road.

My 19" Dunlop summer tyres are shocking.....but fun ;)

got into work today no prob, estate had another 2 or 3" on it, i started out just in time to get caught behind some white van man slipping and sliding and going nowhere fast. eventually had to reverse out the way to let him go home, beyond that the Widow was surprisingly capable despite the 255s :) just have to be sensible about things.

Don't you just hate BMW drivers for doing this - no consideration for fellow road users!

My A4 is at the garage so I had to use the convertible on its apparently 9 year old tyres! Everything was hunky dory until a 3 series pulled out in front of me going up the hill. It was all over the place bouncing off the kerb. I just casually drove quite a distance behind it.

almost lost the Dynamik this morning. going through the village, deep chewed-up slush stuff, i find a sensible speed for her and was doing ok. ahead in a sidestreet is some **** in a volvo who's got himself bogged down in the deep slush at the junction. and you guessed it - he and his ****** mate think it's a good idea to push him out right in the path of oncoming traffic. so i touch the brakes, kick back at me through the pedal, ease the wheel right, takes a bit then she bites and slithers over, hits the deeper stuff between lanes, then i'm in the other lane heading at a slide to the kerb, ease her left and again she slides a bit before biting then getting over safe. all this at about 15mph. stupid *** ******, if i'd had a shovel in my boot i would've stopped and planted the ****>:-( i'm lucky as fk it was early in the morn and the other lane was empty.
it's another indication of why i hate people, cos stupidity and laziness seem to be the growing major character traits now. no one bothers to clear the sht at the estate entrances so they can get out, and no one seems to have the sense to wait until roads are clear before getting pushed out onto them

After owning a 3 series I would say they are useless in the snow on summer tyres. Amazingly better with winter tyres on and some weight in the boot.
