Car started misbehaving the other day. I had started the car and was sat in it on the phone. The car was idling fine and then it would just cut-out. It did this about 3 times during the 10 mins I was on the phone. Then when I drove off it seemed to really struggle at low revs (around 1500rpm) in 2nd gear and above. Occasionally I would suddenly lose power and then get it back again. It has also cut out a few times when the revs have dropped to idle.

So............VCDS:

I've read a few posts and it sounds like changing the G410 sensor might be a good place to start. Should have one tomorrow. Is there anything I need to do prior to removing the sensor? As it's on the low-pressure side of the fuel pump i'm hoping not. Just don't want fuel peeing out all over the engine and myself. Is it just a case of undo bolts, remove old sensor, fit new one?

Cheers,
Adi

Awesome thanks.

Just hope I can make it from work to the stealer to pick up the sensor and then back to mine (because of a) the car not running well, and b) the snow)!

Have you been through the fault finding procedure for the low pressure sensor?

Only when it happened to mine I never got the low rail pressure fault (until i'd been through the procedure that is) and it ran perfectly other than the EML. Mine was stuck at 11 bar permanently.
