just got a audi a3 tdi s3 on a 2004 plate

the heater/blow are crap i could blow harder seems where the glove box its mainly there its coming from there but nothing ( very little ) comes out from the heater by windscreen!

the econ is always on if you press the button just comes back on can i use the fuse to turn this off??

Is it using the air con while this button is on??

sorry for all qustions just doing my nut in now

Check the fuses 1st to see if somethings not running, needs a scan as a flap motor may have failed, which basically directs air, number of things but needs diagnosing, whereabouts are you?

O have v lite here at home

Any how to guides in removing glove box to see if hose or flap not working ??

And econ always why quessing fault there

Any way on turning it off by fuse for now ??

"econ" on means the air conditioning is off (economy mode I think).
Would also be worth checking pollen filter isn't clogged up.

Good shout ill check in a mo

But just seems all the blowing is coming from glove box area

How easy to.remove to check out

How do you check.it flap is shut or not opening etc

Where is the flap

Funny i was just looking at this on autodata.
Affected vehicles
  • All models.
Problem
  • Reduced air flow to vehicle interior.
  • Poor AC/heater blower motor performance.
  • Evaporator freezes reducing or stopping air flow to vehicle interior.
Cause
  • AC evaporator temperature sensor failure due to water ingress.
Remedy
  • Carry out diagnostic check to confirm fault.
  • Fit modified AC evaporator temperature sensor.
Don't know if this any think to do with it.

Where is that located I have vag com only.lite verson tho

Been reading heater core block or something

How do I take the glove box out to check if pipe spilt or not connected

Cheers

Had the same sort of problem on Vw sharan lack of air via vents and i ended up burning out the heater motor as it was struggling to circulate air. Does your car windows mist up on the inside a lot. If so then I would say its the pollen filter, do you know when it was last changed. And I would bet even if you asked for it to be done at your last service it would not have been done due to the labour involved in changing it.

I'll change or clean it out until I go to the go parts place weekend

Just seems all the air is at the glove box end and yes windows steam up loads

Right took out wipers etc so can get to the problem werid system

Where is the filter ??

the pollen filter is way under you need not remove the glovey
this might strain your back so be careful if you dont have a ramp...
bend down way under and look right at the back... there is a sliding plate/panel and it will drop down or require a bit of tugging to ease it out
be careful as you dont want the crud falling into your mouth or eyes or inhaling it...
take note of the position it comes out... and the way the vent cover was... because fitting is the opposite of removal and if you get the vent hooks the wrong way it wont go on...

I am assuming that is what you are looking for from your two photos there

Omg the filter was black.

Now heaters work fine

Did you replace the filter at the time or did you just take it out and clean it?

My fans ain't working and I want to try and fix it but I ain't got a replacement pollen filter if needed to do this.
