hi all, hopefully looking into buying an RS4 but one thing putting me off slightly is insurance prices. im 23 with 5 yrs NCB and currently getting quotes of about £1800, its the thought of spending that much just on insurance thats putting me off so wondered if there is anyone about my age who can offer me advice or recommend a company and what price you are paying?

thanks in advance

Dan

thats pretty good for someone your age
i was paying £900 last year and im older with full NCB

yeah a friend with same age etc as me is paying £900 odd on an M5 and did a quote for an RS4 came back at £800 odd for him :( any recommendations of companies to try?

try who your mate tried if hes the same age etc

right
try sky on here there a sponser

No offence but if u can afford a RS4 u can afford the insurance.
But on a helpful note try adding family onto the policy and changing your job title worked for my insurance.

Cheers bez, I'll give them a try but I think last time I tried them they said i had to be 25 for a performance car

As I said in my first post, it's the thought of paying that much that puts me off, I paid £2k for focus St insurance two years a go and vowed not to spend that sort of money on insurance again, can more than one afford that much otherwise I'd be buying a normal A4 lol.

Yeah tried that can't really change my job title that much though so don't make much difference unfortunately :( that ksfor the advice tthough :)

Agree with above, if you can afford an RS4, that insurance quote should be pennies.

Definately agree to adding named drivers. I have two named drivers on mine and it brought my quote down about £1200.

Shaun.

Jeez lol where did I say it was too expensive? When you buy a mod for your car do you just buy the most expensivr/first one you see or do you shop around? everyone likes to save a few quid if possible. Anyway iv had a quote of £1400 so that'll do nicely for me :)

You have to bear in mind that an RS4 isn't a cheap car to buy or run, so when you come onto a forum and almost moan about the price of insurance if you like, other members will read it differently than maybe you set out to explain it. Hence the harsh but fair responses.

There is always a way to get it cheaper - Shopping round is key to any insurance quote.

If you are happy with £1400 they go for it, but personally i would spend abit more time tweaking and haggling until i was sure i had exhausted all avenues....maybe that's just because i'm tight with my money haha
