Vredestein - bargain

I'm going from Toyo proxes, which have been awesome wet & dry, my mate has the vredestein on his A4 and he says they are awesome, so time will tell
 
It's difficult to find the limits of grip with quattro in the dry with anything other than cheap budget tyres (on normal roads), but I've never felt so confident in the wet than with the Vredesteins. They cut through surface water like a hot knife through butter!
 
iv been useing vreds for a few year never had a problem with them

I use the Vredestein's here in Aberdeenshire, great tyres and never had any issues with them, best traction ever.

Ok so 2 weeks in, found the tyres sqeeled a bit on cornering, so upped the psi to 36 from my usual 33 on toyos, that made all the difference. As for performance, they are pretty awesome in the dry - definately on par with if not slightly better than the toyos. In the wet - f**k me they hold and repel the water, much better than my trusted Toyos :arco:
 
I think thats about the ball park figure I paid for the exact same tyres. Been on a year now and performing well. Got mine from Blackcircles.com

JJ think i'll up the psi again and see what the difference is, yep i'm thinking they will be a keeper, snow is a coming so i'll see how they fair

42psi is standard pressure on the 3.0tdi. Don't you check your handbook or pressure sticker???? Anything less and you can tell the difference in handling.
You go to 46psi if the cars fully loaded.

Vredesteins are amazing, I got 4 fitted for £490 from tyreman.co.uk
 
Wonder why the psi is so markedly different between the 2.0 and the 3.0. Presume heavier engine.

Better put mine up from 37 then! :keule:You running 42 all round then? I've changed my wheels from 235/40/18 to 255/35/19 btw.

Yeah, 42 psi all round.

Im not sure how it works with your different sized wheels.
