My Audi A3 2.0 TDi Sport 57 plate

Hi, after my cambelt snapped, or, well, stripped itself on my MG ZR, I bought an Audi A3.

Here are some photos, I know next to nothing about VAG at the moment but learning slowly. So far i know i have the 8P2 version, anyone know the paint code/name?

First things first, I missed having leather seats so went out and found some S3 seats and door cards for a fair price of £700, they're heated seats aswell but dont have the loom in my car So will be looking into retro-fitting the loom at some point if anyone has any useful info?

Also found some 2011 rear lights after some searching, still unsure if i paid too much for them, £175 posted? Also de-badged it as the badges where falling off anyway.

Want to get the S-Line or S3 kit on it aswell, if anyone has any info on which year bracket that will fit, and ones to avoid.

There should be a printed label in the boot floor area, that gives full spec codes for the car.

2003-2008 bumpers will fit (same year bracket as yours), S-Line bumpers will be a lot easier to source than S3 bumpers & a lot cheaper too (there's loads on a certain auction site at the moment).

Best bumper in my opinion is the 2006-2007 S3 bumper. On the hunt for one myself, no luck so far.

Thanks for the input guys, particularly looking for bumpers in the same colour as i cba with body shop fees plus im in no hurry so ill just wait till some come up.

Yes, i do miss the arm rest from my MG, still find myself trying to find it with my elbow in the A3 weird habbits you pick up getting used to cars aye.

Update so far is ive just painted the wheels grey.

Have a Jetex exhaust on the way that i bought off eBay for a bargin tbh.

Its been a very long time since i updated this, not alot has happened to be honest haha! S-line bumper with black grille, also got a LCR splitter on there just not got a photo also got some new alloys to go on.. Photos to follow tomorrow.

Thanks, I didn't think it had changed much until i saw the old photos, quite surprising. Thanks, the interior was my first mod, 2 days of owning the car! Yeah i missed out on a set of H&R's last week, gutted Going to buy some new ones tho, but cant decided on Eibach or H&R.

Wow Chris, quick improvement on the car! I really like the rear lights, its taken me forever to work out if they are straight swap for OE ones and it seems they are! Did you source them new? Very unique interior as I have never seen the same before.

Thanks mate nah sorry mate, got them off a fourm member over eBay, I'm sure he still has some actually, someone might be able to help with someone who can supply them. Nah they're not led unfortunatly. Yeah took a while to gather the parts for her, absolutely gutted the cambelt snapped and wrecked the engine. Not really, but being in the army I can be based anywhere so it's just incase when I drive home, I'm not far from home at the moment, but I found the audi cheaper to insure than the mg aswell so I just prefer them. When im older ill have a big engined petrol. Oh right I haven't been on there since I got rid of the mg. that's good then, mine got scrapped

I went for H&Rs, got them from Euro Car Parts for £179. Really pleased with the drop.

Thanks mate, yeah window tints is on the list along with getting it wrapped gunmetal grey. Got a good deal on getting them both done professionally for £800 with a 3 year warranty on wrap and tints. Just saving up to get it done and looking for an S3 rear bumper preferably in silver, I've got a new boot with the spoiler on too, but it's in a different colour.

Another update after a while! Finally got around to getting my spare boot I had sprayed, it was in better condition than my old one due to some scratches caused by a poorly fitted boot bike rack, the new boot has a spoiler with tinted glass.
