Question on Haldex?

Hi Guys,

I am going to get an S3 in the next few weeks and have been reading about what to look for etc....

I've seen a few I like and one in particular but the lad has informed me the below

He gets an error from the Haldex saying it does not respond, its meant to be quite common? Is this the case, I have asked for the error code to shed some light.

I see the info from Bill @ Badger 5 in the FAQ section but...this only really addresses one possible issue.

First port of call would be to take Ben with you..

Failing that, depending on where it is mate, I have VCDS (and as you know) I'm fairly local...

Can he confirm the haldex doesn't work at all?

I have spoken to Ben and he is not overly keen as the car is down Poole way. In other words its a bit far for him lol.

It seems that VCDS might not pick it up as an error according to the thread that vrbob posted up.

I was hoping to get an insight into this 4 wheel drive stuff.

Hi guys does anyone know this car for sale? Classifieds: 02/52 Audi S3 For Sale The seems nice enough but the only thing holding me back is a possible Haldex issue? He confirms this works but how do you check such things.
