How much boost could K04 puff, if K04 could puff boost? :-)

LOL I have an '03 S3 and I've seen the thread on the K03 but I was wondering can I get 300bhp out of my K04? I have a FMIC setup, I just ordered a Badger 5 Tip and Neuspeed P-flo filter. I am going to do a full exhaust (turbo back decat) and then a stage 2 tune. Will I be able to reach my goal of 300bhp out of this setup? If not what will be the limiting factor? I would think the K04 would run out of puff but not sure.

I would do a search of the forum but the search is screwed up right now so does this justify me in asking flaming questions?

Thanks

have a peek at Westys build thread for ideas, suffice to say 300 is possible if you want it hard enough

As above you will need a healthy ko4 and engine, a relentless manifold, relentless 3in dp and after market exhaust, b5 tip, wmi, 440cc injectors, 3in inlet and outlet fmic, Jetex cone, heat shield for cone, n249 delete, catch tank then you will be close to 300 bhp, mines off to be mapped in 3 weeks I'm hoping for 290 with a similar set up :)

where you off to for the map? You should easily see 290bhp

Miller what do you think of the Relentless manifold? How does the build quality look and feel?

I have to be skeptical of the quality of something from ebay ... especially tubular manifolds.

Relentless is the best.

Phil is going to R Tech.

Read Westys thread, IMO that is the most complete K04 setup I have ever seen.

Once you have all the necessary mods, the limiting factor will be your turbo. Westy made 300bhp on a very low mileage turbo and had WMI, as well as one of the first TIV maps around..

I made 290bhp, then 290 again with a large port head, large inlet mani and 70mm TB. The turbo wouldn't flow anymore. With more timing 300 may have been achievable.

What I am saying is just because you have the mods required, the turbo does have a limit.

That's about what I figured. I have been sifting through Westy's thread but 84 pages is a lot to go through. The search is fixed now so that will help some. I could be happy with 290 bhp. I didn't want to spend the money on a turbo but maybe someday in the future.

Start from the last page and work back mate. It's all a bit slow at the start of my thread ;)

I still think I could squeeze a bit more out of my setup with a bigger TB and inlet manifold.
