i've been quoted 130 to tint all the rear windows and boot is it a good price?

I'd be very weary of that price, it sounds very cheap, whose the company & whereabouts?

i'd ask to make sure they are removing the rear door windows to tint them and not doing them in situ.

do they usually take the windows out then?
the website looks the part but you never know nowadays!

+1 I ended up removing my rear door windows to tint... So much easier & looks so much better

Each door will take about an hour to remove the glass, film and refit (once dry!) - involves removing the door cards and the whole window surround/frame

Sounds too cheap to me too but times are hard and maybe they need the work...

Didn't have mine removed and I think it was £110 or something for the 3 back windows on my 3dr. Looks ace IMO.

Thats because the rear windows on a 3dr are all bonded and can't be removed that easily

OP was asking about a sportback that has 5 rear windows!

they dont really need removeing
a good tinter will do it spot on with them left in

sounds like a good price i paid 100 for my bmw 1 series to be tinted in 2010 so that sounds reasonable price ive been quoted 150 for my sportback by couple guys who did the tint on my bmw, the job was up to scratch as well no noticeable air bubbles no scraping when windows went down i say go for it if its no good dont pay them till its upto your standard

Was referring to the price mate, seems about right.

Ok

Just seemed a bit cheap to me as I know the work involved having done mine, all the windows are convex and require shrinking the film

But as said, don't pay if its not a good job!

Good price mate but not crazy cheap I paid £150 bout 2 months ago to have my sportback limo tinted at direct tint in Lancaster no rear doorcards removed but windows left in I think as long as they can tint past the position where the rubber sits so it does not catch edge of tint when going up and down its fine very pleased with the work not a blemish or bubble or mark anywhere took about 4 hours I think. And all work guaranteed for 5 years

thanks for the replies, i think i'll give them a go then see what they look like and if not up to scratch i'll hold back my cash!

I would do same mate you are not obliged to pay for inferior work
