Needing new tyres for my 11 plate Sline black edition 170bhp Avant, Pirelli P Zero on it from new, now done 27k, wondering wether to stick with the same or try something else / cheaper. Cheapest so far is £220 fitted. Any recommendations ?

if you've had 27k miles from the Pirelli I'd stick with them. Price isn't bad either! Cheaper tyres is false economy....

What is your current tyre size? If you provide us with this information we should be able to give you some suggestions.

Managed to get a couple Pirelli P Zero Rossos (255 x 35 x 19) fitted at Kwik Fit for £426 all in, they even did a price match when I found them cheaper else where, saved £50. Result ! Thanks for your replies.

Let us know how you find them!

These were on when we bought the car new, have covered 28k before needing replaced, and have been fine. Can be a bit tram-liney under certain undulating road conditions, but in the main a very competent tyre and probably good value for the money.

28k?!?! That's impressive.
I've done 19k (quattro) on my conti sc3's
And need some new ones. Not sure if that's good or bad?

Mine has done 13k and needs 2 new conti sc3's on the front! :scared2: But I have only had it for the last 3k so god knows how the last owner drove it? I definately won't be getting contis again!

Just so happened to have been down my tyre place today to get some bridgestone s001's for mine. The price of the conti sc5p's have come down in price, they are £204, whilst the bridgestones have gone up to £245.Typical.My tyre man says that if you get over 12k on the 19" then you are doing well.My old s001's have done about 10 on the front and 5 on the back, so im happy with that.

Glad I chose to stick with the Pirelli's with what I'm reading.

;)
Any reason why ? Have you used them ? Cheers.

It was a meant as a joke because bad weather is forecast! But, yes, I use them and they are as quiet as all season tyres yet grip is far, far better in cold, wet and snow. Braking is much improved.
