They are a great spring set, ride is firmer but still comfy, car handles much better in the corners and most importantly (to me) it looks amazing lower! You really notice it!

hope that helps, any questions just gimme a shout,

Sammy

- LED numberplate lights
- Audi numberplate surrounds
- Audi s-line rear bumper and insert
- Audi s-line chrome exhaust tips
- Audi shark fin aerial
- Rear lip spoiler (colour coded)
- Front bumper insert painted black
- FK 40mm lowering springs
- 19" ADT Boston alloys
- Wind deflectors

Got them both off eBay mate, the spoiler was only £35 painted from Korea and it is a great colour match! My favourite mod!

Eibach do the sportline kit for the B8 now which lowers it 45mm front and 35mm rear, i had them on my Leon and were great. Can't go wrong with a set of Eibachs.

The A4 above does sit really well on the FK's and the rest of the car is really smart too.

Anyone used the H&R 40mm springs? Just wondering if it'll make much difference to a car with S-line springs already since they're lowered something like 30mm from an SE model aren't they? Is 10mm drop really worth £200+?

I read in Audi driver magazine that there are two types of sport suspension for the b8. First of all sport suspension which is 20mm lower than standard and then s line which is 30mm lower. It also said that s line models come standard with the sports suspension and that s line suspension was an option, I thought that was a little weird tbh because you'd expect the s line to come standard with the s line suspension. I asked my mate about it if he seen an option like that when ordering his 3.0 tdi but he said he never. So all I'm saying is maybe you'll get a 20 mm drop out the h&r's. I'm currently looking to buy a b8 s line and I think I'd go for the Eibach springs, they're around £50 cheaper and I've always found them to be excellent.

If you go on to the Audi A4 configurator it does actually give you the option and the salesman gave me the option when I ordered saying the drop was 30mm instead of 20mm as per the sports suspension. Just wondering if it's really worthwhile spending that much then...

I suppose it is quite a lot for a 10mm drop but it will also stiffen the car slightly and improve handling a little aswell. If you do decide to go for it make sure you get some pics up.

Sorry to the OP for the hijack btw! Car is looking great with the springs and wheels combo! :D

I can't recommned the FK springs enough. Had them for a few months now and I love them!

I thought I would share a few more pics of it, shows the ride height a bit clearer...

Exhaust trims are £55 from Audi. That's where I got mine.

Me too, I've got mine but ill probably wait until next month until I fit them also.

true say..i did have eibach pro's on my b6...its just i read SDUK saying that FK springs are good so i thought at half the price...??? they dsit right. whats the difference between eibach pro-kit and sportsline? The only thing i found with Eibach was that they didn't drop low enough, tends to be 30mm from standard height...i want 35-40mm (closer to 40mm) without breaking the bank!!! any other recommendatiions?

It's the Sportline kit that will drop your car 45 front and 35 rear, the Pro kit is 30mm drop all round. I managed to my Sportlines from Awesome on there Black Friday sale and saved 20% otherwise I probably still wouldn't have them yet. Give them a ring they always seem to give the best deal they can I you ask. If you can wait for a bit then you'll see what mine is like with the sportlines fitted? Ive used Eibach's lots of times and I'm always very happy with the level of comfort they provide, they actually made the ride on my Leon very slightly better.

mcdubber1 is yours an sline? i'm just not sure if 35mm at the rear will be enough...i ideally wanted 40mm at the rear...do eibach do a kit with 40mm drop at the rear? i will give awesome a call though..so at what point you planning on droppin it next month? what should the charge for getting that job doen be...roughly...??

i fitted eibach sportline to my b7 45m front 35mm rear on 19's and this is how it sat

niiiice lookin b7 mate, is your car an sline? that is sitting exactly how i want mine too sit...i also have 19"..whats your tyre size?

it was my last car s line but suspension sits as stated s line or not 35mm rear (15mm s line) as they are 20mm lowered as standard ,tyres were 235/35/19

cheers dav

Yes mine is the S-line. I would like a little more all round tbh but I want to keep it so it gets over speed bumps easily and is comfortable. Eibach only do the Sportline and Pro spring kits. H&R do a 40mm kit but it seems to be a little more expensive depending what engine you have. I'm hoping to do them around the beginning of the month but they may get done sonnet of later. I'll probably tackle them myself although the suspension setup on the A4 looks a little trickier than others I've done. I would guess a garage would charge you around 3 hours labour give or take. It'll take me longer than that on the ground though!

Hhmmm i will look into h&r.. Make sure you post some picz of your car when done

i have decided i am going to go with H&R springs 40mm drop all around.

it's just occured to me that my tyres need replacing soon, what would be the best size to go for..19" RS4 alloys (polished baby!!)...235/35/19's?? I want the arches to look more filled up so would 235/40/19's be better for that?

They come from factory fitted with 255/35 R19 but if it were me I'd go for 245/35 R19 for a less chunky side wall. To carry off 235 35's you'd need to be pretty low, I've seen some that arn't that low and it just doesn't look right. The smaller you go the more it affects your speedo reading aswell.

Cheers i'll see how it looks dropped on my current 235's, as i'm going to drop my by 40mm would going for 245's make the ride smoother than the 235's?? Or is it asthetic only??

bought these on 07/01 and they arrived today £135 posted , well pleased
