Anyone had experience of Seward Bodyshops?

Well my second week of S4 ownership has been rounded off by a muppet hitting me.. My insurance company want me to use Seward in Havant for the repair, now i can't see the Sprint Blue being all that easy to match, I have damage to rear bumper and quarter panel and will not be happy if the colour doesn't match! Any one have any reports back on these guys??

I wouldn't trust any insurence company body shop. I insisted that my insurence company sent my car to Audi body shop you just have to insist and take no Cr&p.

I have also used accident exchange they are amazing you deal with them instead of your insurence company.

They pick up your car deal with all the paperwork and provide a free Curtisy car. All work was done to an amazing standard and all within a week. Defenitly try them

It's your choice where you take the car, it doesn't have to be on their so called "approved list". I had a deer strike last year, I gave them the choice lol, Audi or the bodyshop that I trust and have used for 15years......... lol they agreed the bodyshop.

The main issue with going to a non-Audi approved bodyshop is that it will invalidate the 12 year corrosion warranty.

My step-sister used to work for Seward, and didn't have too many good things to say about them.

Just another point forgot to mention that when I got accident exchange to deal with my car they did everything and even took the car to the local Audi body shop. i had the car repaired by the authorised Audi body shop so it's still covered by the warranty.

So even though accident exchange dealt with the car it was all done via Audi. Which is why I went with them due to my insurance provider saying I had to pay half the costs of fixing my car due to not taking it to one of there approved body shops.

Mine was done at Audi, but discovered a problem a few weeks later, but was soon sorted after I sent photos to Jeremy Hicks (then CEO of Audi UK) and was contacted by his PA the same day and told dealer would be contacting me to sort. Did an excellent job 2nd time around.

I get insured with Aviva purely because one of their approved body shops is City Centre Car Care in Digbeth who matched my paint so well you could not see where they had repaired. (Lava grey pearl metallic).
If you have damage to the rear quarter they may well go up the c pillar and along the edge of the roof line to match it in, which means any window trims need to come off.

I currently have damage there to mine thanks to a neighbour who cant park, CCTV and Blackvue for the win
I have been quoted just over £1300, which the third party is having to fork out, Nigel at CCCC gave me the number for Accident Exchange in case they want to send it somewhere else.

If the job is done properly, you shouldn't see any colour difference. I'm a painter and highly recommend to use any approved body's hop from the vag group. Reason for this is they should be using spies hecker paint, which is fully compliant with the manufacturers warranty. (Corrosion etc) also with the group they expect the body shop to deliver an anti corrosion warranty of atleast 5 years (this is changing to 10) as inconvenient as it is, the right job should be completely unnoticeable. Texture, shine etc. I've painted loads of RS4's in sprint blue and mizano red (reds a *****) and never had a come back. My car is mizano red and even I can't see the colour difference and to be honest I wouldn't have it any other way. Just make sure you get a copy of the estimate from the insurance company and make sure that they have replaced everything that should be replaced etc (I.e renew rear bumper... Make sure they haven't repaired the old one. Unfortunately there's so many cow boys out there, it's so hard to know who to trust. Hope this helps. Any doubts or questions feel free to pm me.

they should be fine mate, tell them you won't take it unless its perfect, the will go the extra mile.
