why pic 1 and not pic 2 ?

Well it's your car so you decide, but in my opinion I think the grey against black would look better. Never liked black cars with silver wheels. I need to refurb mine and then they are going titanium or gunmetal. Just my 2p ;)

i really need constructive opinions so i could make my desicion as i have been through
3 sets of rims at the moment.

Only one decision for me. Pic 1. Oem Black Edition. Same as I have on my BE S3.

TTRS wheels just look plain in comparrison, and are also normally 19".

the thing is ive got two mint rims from pic 2 in mint condition and 2 rims from pic 1 in need of refurb. they are all original. the ones from pic 1 have an offset of ET54 while the ones from pic two have an offset of ET50.

will be easier allround to refurb to pic 2 status, but will look wrong as supposed to look like pic 1
personally would try and go for pic 1 original spec! as they should look!
if not happy will be a hell of a lot easier to flog on!

Pic 1 will suit your car better mate and the contrast will set of the car better. You have seen my car and the gunmetal alloys look much better than the silver ones

looks like its gonna be pic 1 from the in dept analysis by you guys.
i have been given 10mm spacers which should make them sit well. (my heart still wants pic 2 though :hubbahubba:)

Definitely pic 1. The colour coding brings out the design detail more than pic 2, which looks plain.

yep pic 1 . pic 2 looks too bland, as the rotor profile is not pronounced enough for me.

deffo agree from the two youve given definately picture one it looks better, shows the lines, and looks more oem, the plain silver makes it look like a cheap set of aftermarkets.

I have the wheels like in picture 1 on my car at the moment, and I'm having them changed to look like picture 2. I just don't like wheels that aren't silver.

you guys win i will go for pic 1.
its gonna cost me more coz of the diamond cut bits.

I've got rota's on mine and want the whole of the wheel the same colour as not the 2 tone like they are standard! Probably looking at a very dark graphite colour when I get them done! Be about £450 the quote I had to do them!

i was quoted £250 to have them done to the B.E. as in pic 1. and £165 to keep it looking like pic 2.
can i see some pics of your car as it stands now?
