Where do you keep your vehicle wallets?

On my MK4 golf the glove box was huge and had a slot to put the vehicle wallet or slap it in the rear armrest but it doesn't fit in the glove box on my A3 and don't really want it rattling about in the boot, but also don't want it knocking about in the house really.

Where do you put yours!?

How about putting it in one of the side pockets in the boot? I stash loads of things in there, tow rope, bottle of oil, spare bulbs, cargo net etc. Neat and tidy.

Ah yes the passenger side boot pocket may be a plan, forgot there was space there as my last A3 had a changer in there, although I am I right in thinking the Haldex controller is there?

Passenger door pocket could be a plan, save the Mrs from stashing a life time supply of mints in there!

Why would you keep it in the car? I always keep mine in the house, plus it saves in weight haha.

There's a storage slot under the steering wheel that it fits in nicely, although mine are in my wardrobe

sorry if i sound silly and it could be to do with ive spent hours in my working life looking for service books, but why wouldnt you keep it in the car??

I'm quite sure this is where it's ment to go as mines in it. to be honest I don't see the point of the slot otherwise

If you mean the hand book /service record then yeah mine is in the car, but my history/receipts is like the yellow pages so mine is in a drawer in my office...at work......

Handbook is in the passenger side door pocket.
V5 and service history are in my safe, along with the spare keys.
Rest of it is with the pile of receipts in a drawer.

Ah ha! hadn't discovered that slot, it's now stashed in there. I only keep vehicle manual wallet with insurance certificate in there and some paper in case of accident.

Service receipts, V5 and spare leys (when I have any) are kept in my box file in me cupboard.

all of it in the box file for the car which is in the house, no paperwork is left in the car at all just a key
