Since we've been having really cold mornings, my HVAC has decided to crash.

Nothing happens on any of the buttons, the fan still moves on Auto but I can't change any thing, turn it off but the recirculate button flashes on and then off.

Any one else noticed this?

There is no codes on VCDS and after 10mins or so it comes back to life.

mine does something similar since i spilt a cuppa over mine. I assumed it was a sticky button preventing me selecting any other feature

That might be it.
My rear demister button is sticking along with two others.
Time to strip it and clean the buttons I think.

Want me to do yours?

I can do it, just am lazy, lol mine has my boost and oil pressure gauge incorporated so not got around to it

There's a good chance it's the board going Scott.

If your button clean doesn't help, open the module and remove the circuit board. 10 minutes at Gas Mark 7 - 8 (that's about 210 - 220 C in new money) will reflow the joints. (This will work VERY well on electronics made post the stupid 2006 EU ruling about lead in solder)

If it doesn't work, then a new module is in order.
