I've done over 100 miles in my car today and I can confirm its definitely fixed. I even raced an R32 who was racing an R8 but then I got told off by my girlfriend and had to back off :(
HAHA funny that ....last time i had a duel with a new shape r32 the guys bird falcon punched him mid race..... he was losing big time anyway....:beerchug:

This was a mk4 R32 but he was no match for me except in noise. The suited guy in the R32 pulled over out the way straight away lol he wasn't interested in playing.

To double check Westicles because I am just about to try and change my order and Prawn told me to get these instead...

You have TFSI coils without any adapters, just pushed onto the plugs and they sit there fine?

x

Yes mate so did Tuffty and a few others. The adapters are a waste of money if you ask me and they serve no purpose but to dress up the engine bay.

Thanks beautiful, going to try and ring Awesome on Monday and change my order.

x

Agree with Westy had mine in with no adapters for months now with no issues at all, I even check mine and give them a push when I'm under the bonet and they don't move one bit

Sounds like a plan, I'm looking at doing the same.

Did you ever uprate your turbo actuator?

My turbo is just over 40K old and although already mapped by Niki with good results, he advised fitting an uprated actuator once I get my relentless etc fitted.

Reading through your thread it seems an uprated actuator is a must.

Waiting on a price from Awesome for a Forge version.

I did ask Niki about the actuator when mine was with him and he said not to worry at the moment as the current one is holding fine. My turbo has maybe done 12k miles now if that.

half a litre potentially too big though.....

Ideal size is said to be capacity x 1.4 I believe, those uni ones from oop norf are over 2x 1.8.

I also want to make one using one of those plenums, but they look like there's scope to cut at least 2-3'' off the fat end of the plenum, which should bring it's volume back inline with the SEM and similar. Would also allow you to tweak it to get the TB angle just right :)

Looking forward to seeing this beasty in the new year.

Is Ace Cafe too far for you now dude?

You are correct mate, there needs to be some Slappy Dunbar style manifold tests for the inlet too ;)

Ace is a little far for me now but I would do one nice summers evening if you know you'll be there. Apart from that I'll be at all shows next year. Might even make ADI for once!

Hmmm very subjective.. from what i have read, the runner size is more important than the plenum, on N/A cars it can alter the torque/rev range alot.... on turbo apps bigger the better?, i know i was seeing 18 G/S so its def a step in the right direction, but i cant help thinking most of that is due to actually opening the runner area up...

You won't want my mani mate as it's just a small port BAM inlet. You want an AEB/AGU one to cut the runners off.

I want your manifold to cut up and weld on the AEB runners i already have sitting in my garage from the A4 :p

Also cut it in half and get an extra piece welded in to increase volume. Pretty much banding the manifold like you would a steel wheel lol.

Nope lol. But just think, if it provides gains you can have a small claim to fame lol.

Oh and keep a space in your diary for a weekend in January if possible so i can pop up. I`ll bring the go-pro so we can attach it to the back of your car and video some flamage! Finally do some little bits to my car too lol.

When are we getting a build thread for your S3?

When i can actually do something with it without getting frostbite and can clean it properly. Done cambelt and waterpump, oil pick up, cv boot, B5 tip and filter. Still got PCV/N249 delete, coilovers, R32 rear arb and coils to fit. A, cba B, far too cold. Tempted to come in tomorrow and use the workshop to try and get some bits done but dont know if it`ll happen.

Are you starting your build thread within my thread lol

Theres a good idea.... Group build thread ...everybody just put the ****e in one place!!....

I think there useless once they get this big anyway.....

Agreed, unless you have some sort of indexing system they become a nightmare.

Really need two, one for chat and ideas, another for dedicated pictures and cool tech info :)

Not reall much of an update bu I thought it was about time I posted in here. I needed to service the mrs corsa this weekend as I've put 25k miles on it since its last service. So the other day when I was on euro car parts ordering up the needed bits I thought I'd also get an S2000 filter. The idea was to swap it for my jetex so I could wash and dry it then swap them back.

I go the filter out and thought great, colour coded ;)

I removed my jetex. You can see how dirty it is and also where the neck split and I had to repair it.

Turns out there wasn't enough room for the S2K filter by a long way!

I ended up puting the jetex back on, emptied my catch.

Went to start te car to move it out the garage and as it hadn't been driven in 5 days the battery decided to die! Had to tow the fat S3 out the garage **** to **** with the corsa then use the work horse to jump my German tank.

I Got the thing started, topped up te methanol then went to charge the battery. Still love this car :racer:

As I had nothing else to do on the car and couldn't be ***** to wash it I decided to make a gym in the unused half of the garage.

Westy's gym comes complete with carpet, chin up bar, dum bells, situp Matt, and mirror ;)

Still got a bench, barbell, and a load of plate weights to put in there.

Mirror for perving on yourself after a hard work out? You can give the car a good run out when you come over for your mot.

No worries we'll have to meet up some other time for some fun. Still be nice to stick my injectors and reg in your cleaner. (Waits for someone to turn that into a sexual innuendo)
