Buying Tips for A4 TDI - Need a daily hack!

To be honest I took a deposit for the car but ended keeping it, spent too much money on the car ! I will break the saloon in spring when it gets warmer and I will make the 1.9 tdi a Quattro by using the prop and diff and 6 speed gearbox !

It was just what I was after. A cheap high miler that ha just had a new clutch and cambelt.

Fred, how the flying fudge are you? I miss you! Get a 130bhp 1.9TDI, they're the daddy. Had I known you were so serious I'd have let you drive mine at AITP, I have it remapped and everything! On a slightly serious note, the 1.9TDI is a really nice car to drive, it's plenty powerful enough for what you need in commuting. Mine has over 160k miles now and still feels lovely to drive, recent cam belt change, cheap...but i'm not selling.

As everyone else says, thermostat, bunged up grommets and dodgy wiring. Oh, and the boot warning triangle flap catch breaks! ;) I bet there's a ton of people on here who have that.

Come to sunny yorkshire sometime and see me and dave, and drive my car.
