Hi all. Had the s3 for around 3 months now. It currently has a full miltek turbo back exhaust, and a shark stage 2 remap. Yet I'm only getting 23 mpg and that's all motorway miles. It's a dsg gearbox but surely should be seeing more than 23mpg? ?? What can cause low mpg?? Allready checked the obvious. Recently serviced. Exhaust not blowing. Thermostat all working. Tyres correct psi and all aligned. I'm stumped. Anyone else any ideas??

Well poor mpg.....
Perhaps it's got a boost leak and/or torn DV which is possible if it's set up for stage 2.
Search the site for more info on each.

I thought you would get more tbh. So 24 mpg is about normal then

I get about 27-30mpg on an 8P APR Stage 1+ S3, about 320 miles per tank.
Mainly (80%) off peak highway driving.

I get 30 ish mpg driving 30 miles each way to work on a mixture of back roads and A roads - steady 50 / 60 ish mpg with no stop start.

If you're sitting at a constant 70 - 80 on the motorway I would expect something in the region of 27 mpg. If your motorway journey begins with a lot of stop / start town traffic that might skew the average down quite a bit as I've noticed low twenties or high teens are the order of the day with a cold start followed by town traffic. They don't like that ...

edit: my car is standard

That's why I thought mine was low. A 're map should give a few more mpg too. Going to get it data logged and checked cos somethin isn't right. Should be getting more than 230 mile to a tank. I also use v power.

High Wycombe to Manchester and back after being APR S1 with Awesome, reason for going to Manchester. 230 miles... something aint right

No mate all breaks are free. Just been for its mot. Checked while on ramp.

I drive like Miss Daisy before anyone asks, but prior to the first remap, was getting about 28mpg overall, and now, after a lot more work and power,it averages about 29mpg,and that is a mixture of rural and urban driving to work each day.
Town driving will see that fall, but a constant 70mph on a motorway should come in much higher than 24mpg.
