After killing a turbo , head, manifold and a good few other things on my first engine im a touch paranoid about fueling,
I know the ECU has all the toys in place to keep an eye on this but... the car show'd no signs of problems before it died before... so obviously mapping/ faulty components can trick it.
So... as alot of people i know run stand alone AFR gauges i thought i would get one... I went for the innovate MTX range as it was simple and compact to fit , I know people with this same gauge and have no problems but... They have lancia's, Astra's and Honda track cars.
My problem is the probe over heats ( i think this is the problem) and the gauge goes into fault code mode if i drive steady . I think it doesnt like that the Injectors turn off on over run because if i drive "a little enthusiasticly" there isnt a problem.
Is there a kit out there that has no problems with the above?
I concidered a liquid S3 gauge but that uses the probe and reading the ECU uses, i like the idea of a second opinion.
Any ideas peeps?
