I'm in London so only place I can get to when I finish work !!! Halfords sell nearly all oils anyway , maybe not as cheap lol

Nice buddy I found this super stuff and quality.Thanks.

I second dave's link.

I have delt with tim at opie oils and he really knows his oil. He would be the best person to speak with.

For my rs4 & r32 i use gulf competition 5/40 ester fully synthetic. Great oil, and being ester has better properties then any other oil.

Hi mines a 1.8 APY engine and iv found some cheap magnatec 5w-30. Will that be ok. Everyone seems to have mixed views on this.

Id be using 5w-40, 30 is too thin i find and i imagine with yours been a apy the miles are high. Also use oem quantum oil or my preference is millers.

Quantum.

That said if you're buying your filter from Halfords you might as well use chip fat.

Dave have you tried their nanotech stuff yet?

Do you mind telling me how much you paid? Guessing you got 5w-40? From what ive read and been told its meant to be really good, fast car did a back to back dyno test also, they had a st and vxr and they both made good bhp and torque from just changing the oil, the st mad over 40lb more torque and the vxr made a extra 15bhp+ from memory.

Invoice is at work.. around £48 with the discount springs to mind...

I use millers too. Havent tried the Nano one yet but will see, A friend with a tuning company has ordered quite a few tubs he is keen to test it .
I know a couple of people with direct accounts . I save 25 on the one i use now, Will have to ask about this nano one

Sure i use xfs but like said ill be changing to the nanotech stuff, dearer but alot better.

S3 APY- I got round to sorting the oil change the other day. I was expecting my MPG to go up from 19. Its actually gone down to 14-16.
We've had a lot of snow and freezing temps here in the last week or so. Not sure if thats to blame.
I thought 19 was bad as i used to average 22 when i had the car.
Will have to get a scan this week i think.
Any thoughts people?
