It was due a MOT today, he took it out yesterday to charge the battery up, as it hardly gets used.

Tell him to blame the MOT people............to harsh?

What a numpty.

He's in the **** with the in-law next week then?

Morning all.

Audrey is working ok. :jump:
For now.
Still need to find out the cause and possible get the turbo sorted out for a new or recon unit.

Joys of having your car booked in. Gets cleaned for nothing. May not be perfect but its better than before looking like I'd done a rally stage lol. Also the joys of watching it while I do my own work lol

Further update, my cousin managed to pluck the courage and call my uncle overseas this morning, he took it well, was only concerned if the son inlaw was ok!?

My Uncle is a character I tell you, he swears in every sentence, a proper old fashioned bloke who wears the trousers in the house, but in the end, he's a softy inside! :respekt:

Everyone's happy. :)

Jojo darling, tonight you and I will talk about S2000's and their amazingness and how badly I want one.

In the mean time enjoy this -

Has anybody on here experienced memory loss and recollection issues?

I get confused a lot, about things I should know. People ask a question, and I go all in full attack and then forget what I'm going on about. And then later when I'm not under pressure to validate my responses I remember it all.

Perfect example, the 312mm Porsche brake thread that's gone on today.

To put it simply I made myself look like a right tit. Then I read it back about 10 mins ago and realised it is all ******** and I look a ****.

But I know it all now when I don't need it. And to evidence that I know about it here's a quote of mine from over a year ago, from a thread that I was full of proper knowledge in and knew exactly what I was going on about -

LCR calipers are differnt offset to GT Junior calipers, so you would need S3 specfic brakets for them where as with the LCR's you could use the entire LCR setup. GT Junior calipers have an internal fluid channel so don't have the external balance pipe like LCR's which I think is nicer, the piston sizes are the same. The same pads are used on the two brakes aswell.

The LCR's have 323mm discs (so 11mm bigger than an S) and you will need calipers, carriers, pads, discs and hoses.

You would need exactly the same for the GT Junior kit, but it would be more expensive and have an internal fluid channel and a different offset.

God knows how I know this, I've never even owned a set. This is all Prawns doing I tell you...

So yeah, this is a daily thing for me and happens literally all the time. I'll be half way though doing something and just totally forget about it. My grandfather suffers from dementia quite badly, and now I'm starting to worry that I might get issues when I'm older.

Basically, wtf?

Basically what your saying is you wanted to look the big man so spouted a load of stuff you know nothing about then went off to google it and came back later claiming you'd forgotten about it?! ;)

That's how it would seem yes!

Haha!

Evening all!

Good to see all was good in the end jojo!

Jardo its nout to worry about, many a time i run upstairs to get something and think wtf am i doin up here, go down stairs then remember!

Also i think all hondas are gutless tin cans that even with the vtech yo are still crap! Thats in my own opinion, but i suppose the s2000 is the best 2 seater convertable out, unless you have the dosh for the twin turbo bmw z4.

Jardo, *****es be crazy and you the *****es.

Press CTRL+H if you forget what you was talking about, that should bring up your search history and might help. :ninja:

Any one, enough of that crap.
Back to the gif.
Send me the topless one and the name.
The wife is working late tonight and I need to keep my self warm.

P.S. I get confused between what was a dream memory and real life memory.

The terrorist squad are on their way to Badger 5's.

Niki said he can get 272bhp out of a stock K03s. Bill has doubts and there is question about the authenticity of Mylo's K03s.

So Niki is going to take it to Bills, tune it to 272bhp and then they're going to remove the K03s and fit Mylo's new hybrid and let Bill inspect the K03s.

Niki has bet quite a lot on this, so it could be a monumental day for us A3 owners. I'm excited! :)

Great stuff. I'm assuming this will be all over the RTech facebook page and will probably soon appear on this site at some point. When are they doing this?

Today, now. :)

Going to ring Mylo about 11 and see how they are getting on, Niki has had more than that on his own rollers so getting it at Bills shouldn't be a problem.

How's the S3 going now you've done the coil pack loom?

Exciting stuff then. I though Bill could only dyno submarines at the moment :ninja:

Car is much better on boost now, really smooth and also seems to strat better. However, it does seem a little lumpy off boost when cold. I've not driven it since the day after fitting the loom so I'm only going on what my GF is telling me. I'll be driving it 100 miles tomorrow to work and back so I'll see how it is.

You sorted your bumper and FMIC?

That's good then, what did you gap your plugs to? TFSI coils is on the list for me, I ordered a set from Awesome but phoned up and cancelled because I just can't afford a full set :(

Bet you can't wait to drive it tomorrow :p

Bumper and FMIC is all sorted and I sprayed the IC pipes again yesterday, had a new clutch since then too and resprayed the boot.

This is yesterdays work -

Going to clean it to death today and go get some pictures now it is looking presentable :) Just need to get some WMI on and then I can go back to Niki's.

You about in December at all? I'm coming home for about a week spread across the month and for two nights I'm staying the COV HQ in North London if you fancy a pint?

Never gapped a plug in my life. Just screw them in and go. The plugs do need to be checked they have been in a little while now. I'll be fitting my oil cooler during my xmas time off so I'll change the plugs then too.

Car's looking good.

I'm not around much in December, completely booked up with partys and family visits etc. plus I'm a bit of a distance from North London since I've moved.

Ahh, gutted.

Well you should be gapping plugs in TFSI's to about 1mm, the bigger gap basically gives a bigger and more controlled spark hence the benefit in combustion efficiency. Fitting TFSI coils and not regapping the plugs probably gives no benefit over stock ones :p

Fancy it?

General Car Track Day - Monday 18 Feb 2013

There's no real benefit from the coils anyway. My car made the same power on 1.8T coils and TFSI coils with the gap that comes as standard with NGK plugs so there's no point me touching them.

I'd like to do Brands Hatch :racer:

Jardo you moose knuckel face child.
