you do know that this only puts the locations on the screen when in satnav mode.
it does not give warnings etc etc.
put the link up so ppl interested can read up on the product
or some ppl buying if this goes ahead could be disopointed.
same as this navPOInt - custom POIs for your Audi SatNav

TRIAL try b4 u buy
Download navPOInt - custom POIs for your Audi SatNav

yeah its the same 1
iv used it try the free trial i posted its the same as the 1 from your link its just a poi and a mess about to copy the discs etc

Coincidence - I spoke with Hamid from satnavsystems this afternoon and quizzed him about this. He confirmed that they can supply the software (quoted me about £100.00 to get it uploaded at the garage) but that there is no warning of cameras, other than the icon on the map, which is all I've been used to with the RNS510. He also confirmed that 7 digit postcode recognition, available for the RNS510, is unlikely to ever materialise for the RNSE...

Well guys I'm not gonna lie I didn't ring satnav systems today just didn't get a chance,

I will try tomorrow and let u lot know what they say ,
i have recieved lots of messages about this from members interested so just hold tight untill I know the full S.P

Cheers

Bump.....
any news?

Ordered this on Tuesday, yet to receive it though - will update you next week. Think that all it will do is show cameras as points of interest but better than nothing and only £60.00.

Checked out Petrol Dave's recommendation, Pogo unit plus version 3...... Bought it on-line should be delivered in 3-5 days.
I like the silent function, basically if you're doing the correct speed the audible warning remains silent and only gives visual notification of the speed camera position.
the units tiny, about the size of a fag packet...... Arrives just before my RS3 get's delivered

hi, because it doesnt actually warn you with an alert it didnt get persued , i just use a cheapo one from maplins free updates etc no monthly fees,or i use the speedwatch app on my iphone and leave it running in the background.

ive seen lots of magic sprays and films on ebay lately that apparntly speed cameras (income machines) dont like

I think we have had this thread before, also you do not get the camera updates etc. or new roadwork average speed cameras it is not worth it, but I use speed camera database on iphone connected to AMI.

Received the DVD - basically the 2012 software that came with the car plus POI that you need to check the box to see. Nowt fancy or clever beyond that but useful if you're driving in unfamiliar territory and constantly checking the satnav. Thinking about the Pogo unit referred to earlier, want to keep a clean points sheet...

My pogo unit has arrived today, plug n play.... Really easy to use. Went out for a quick test drive about an hour ago.
If you can be bothered there is an extension lead which can be used to power the infra-red detector behind the front grille of the car.
Costs £240.00 direct from Pogo, includes 6 months subscription for camera updates..... Pricey I know, but clean licence is priceless :icon_thumright:

Would like to know how you get on with it, I have yet to be convinced or understand, that once the laser detector has detected the camera, the camera must have all ready caught you, I assume it all works line of sight?

Think you're right pal, laser detector works on line of sight.
However driving unfamiliar roads fairly often, mobile phone ringing...... constant envious challenges, I need
all the help I can get.
Try to never go over 90 on motorway, not worth it.....
Always hover around speed limit on dual carriageways
30 zone is a thirty for good reason......

Christ, what's come over me? not you're quintessential RS3 driver I know

Updated pogo unit on-line, again dead easy.... so far so good.

I use a fairly cheap TomTom (a One V3) with the PocketGPSworld speed camera database installed with voice warnings. It also includes all known current mobile sites and you can set the voice warning distance to whatever you want (so on a fast dual carriageway in Wales I set it to a big distance !).

If you report a new camera site to PocketGPSworld they will give you free life membership which includes free download of the database, which is updated regularly and downloadable from their site.

I use the PocketGPSworld speed camera database. Its brilliant on my Tomtom and always updated regulary as people strive to get the free membership.

You have to be a subscriber before you can report camera's so you have to pay for the first year, then its up to you to find that camera that no one else knows about first.
