Front Bumpers and trees dont go....

....was driving home tonight and whack I hit a tree across the road and by the looks of it I will need a new front bumper.

I have the GMBH/S-Line Front and i have had the front bumper off but cannot remember if the upper and lower sections come apart which I think they do can anyone jog my memory??

Looking on ebay and can find standard bumpers and I dont want to do the joey as per the links in the B6 Bumper options sticky above, looks like a stealer jobbie!!!

Ive also got front parking sensors, will I have to cut the holes out myself in a new one or can i spec it with them pre cut??

Plus the pics would really only really show missing grills so what would be the point of them?

Im more shocked that on here someone is questioning that without pics it didnt happen wft is this place coming to.

I will get some later when I get home, it doesnt look too bad but tell you what seeing it appear in the pitch dark wasnt a nice experience....just a pain knowing i need to factor in a new bumper and perhaps the Tiniest dink to the wing by the headlight.

Look at the positive you'll have a nice shiny new front end maybe even a new look all in time for Xmas and it could of been worse by the sounds of it

see reason for pics is it may be repairable and save you some cash
so thats the reason iv had bumpers in half and had them fixed to like new

Totally could of been worse mate, it still drives and is only a hunk of metal and plastic anyhow!

Funny thing is the front needed re-spraying anyhow due to a guy reversing into me now like you say it will be nice and shiney but cannot stop there will need some stone chips in the bonnet doing also....it opens a can of worms.

Bez Id love it if it was repairable but I dont think it is ive had the front bumper off before and from memory how it comes apart its not looking likey, the tree smashed the vertical part of the lower bumper behind the actual structure support beam that runs behind the bumper and hasa cracked the top part ever so slightly.

I'll get ya some pics later people!!!

tom it could be worse, my mrs went to tesco and decided the baby parent spaces looked good so after the shopping and the kids was back in she then reversed to leave the bottom section of the bumper on the path as there was a lip ouch !! The unlucky thing was I'd sold the car and it was being picked up about 3 hrs after it....

as you can imagine I was not the happiest but I managed to get it back together in time

Thats not worse as you managed to fix it lucky ******, me i need a neew one :-( top bottom and grill, the bottom middle grill is £110 alone from Audi ouch!

I said to them how much, the parts guy came back with well it has chrome on it wtf!!!! silly response ha ha

Stil thimk ive found a bumper, just mailed the guy to find out if it is exactly the one i need!
