Just wondering if the light output intensity of xenon lights can be changed via vcds.

When I switch on factory fit xenon lights, they come on with an initial brightness, which dims as the light goes through its'up/down dance.

I think that is the initial spark of the balast, then once ignite the lamps warm through that is why it appears to be getting brighter.. i think anyway lol

That would be a good mod, as the light output compared to other OEM Xenons seems a lot less.

It's the bulb warm up you're seeing I think. Better bulb and ballast technology on newer cars means they have shorter warm up times.

My older 2003 Skoda had a slow bulb start up, flicker as you say, was like that for years. I guess it's the ballast resistor warming up slowly, just older technology Mr lapou. None of the components ever failed in 5 years of ownership though.
