Jut got my renewal through from Direct Line. Not overly impressed with the decrease (about a tenner for the year) down to 579...

Quick Confused.com search got me down to 450 with "Rescuemycar.com", whoever they are...

however Sky have "quick Quoted" £786??? waiting for a call tomorrow to see if there can be any movement but on a side note, can anyone suggest anyone (or put my curious mind at rest with rescuemycar)?

Rob, definitely give both the above a call and mention ASN, both are competitive to a point, I went with Prestige this year with my S3.

Insurance really annoys me with my car home and business !
On my car now it was £560 and then a year later they decide to charge me £900 so i phoned them up and they put it down cheaper than it were in the first place to £550, how does that come about ?
Just don't seem why they didn't leave it as it is !

But in your case why haven't they put it down by a large amount ? Crazy...

Still struggling, same story with prestige, for me they weren't competitive. But customer service was top notch

Best I have found thus far is £450, down from my renewal of £574. But it's with a company I have NEVER heard of, "rescuemycar.com" sounds more like a breakdown service than an insurer. £2-3 more per month has lead me to "premium choice" or "performance direct"

Anyone had experience of either?

Adrian flux are good give them a call got quotes for my a3 Quattro from confused and the rest all were about 1800 3rd party Adrian flux quoted 1000 fully comp so worth a go mate.

Just got my renewal through for 400 quid. Went online and found it with the same company for 350. Rung them up and said I was not renewing and would just take out a new policy. Said they would do it for 299. What is going on with insurance !!!!!

Update: contacted my current insurer and really put the fear of god into them... Pointing out my 4 years of no claims with them and arguing my case. Then being told I had the breakdown add on... Didn't ask for it, so cancelled that. And took out AA at half the cost and cash back.

Result: £579 down to £320...

Moral: keep pushing, it eventually pays off... Oh and keep your eye on things being added to your policy.
