hi all,

I recently bought an A3 2007 from a dealer. The dealer mentioned that the front seats are already built-in with heated element but only haven't hooked up and put the switch and control dial on the climate control panel. Currently, the switch location where the heated switch should be has a solid black cover. I am wondering is there anyway I can check the seats are heated ready ? if so, can I hook it up myself if I can buy the switch and the dial ?

your help is much appreciated and Thx you in advance ..

regards

Rico

They won't have the heating elements in the seats... If the car wasn't specced with them from new then you will have to do the complete install...

Hi Scott,

Thank you for your comment. Is there anyway I can check? like open the climate control panel??

Typical car dealer, he was LYING to you.

Believe me, you will NOT have the heating elements in your seats. Audi do not fit something to cars that won't be used. Thats why heated seats are a £350 option...

Again, dealer told you porkys. To fit retrofit will cost more than the original £350 and a lot of work.

I'm sure I read another thread with a few members mentioning that some seats do come with the elements already in?

I just checked under my black cover, I have 3 connectors can any body tell me what they are? Surely you only need 1 for airbag and 1 for adjustable lumber?
