2.0TFSi Remap - ATSpeed or AMD

Thinking of getting the A4 2.0TFSi Quattro remapped at ATSpeed or AMD as these are my nearest in Essex, as I am in East Sussex.
I would appreciate your thoughts on who provides the best service.

I am quite familiar with remapping as have been doing it myself for years on Jap stuff, mainly Subaru. But I havn't the tool's, knowledge or ECU defintions of the more complex ECU in the Audi and TBH can't be bothered.

This is my daily drive (the Subaru is tucked away), so quite happy for a good quality map to be squirted in, but obviously don't want to be fobbed off by some mapper that think's I know jack all about what he's upto (there are plenty out there, believe me, with that attitude).

search the forum... this question has been asked many at time.. i think the most popular ones are shark, amd and apr... it depends what you want.. do you want progressive or aggressive? Are you planning to mod? In which case shark and apr offer free upgrade/adjustment if one day you decided to stick s3 injectors in your car and slap a k04 turbo on... Ive got an APR... it has some great security features... I can use the cruise control stalk to a) shut down the ecu and b) limit the ecu and boost e.g. so no one can exceed 30mph if they steal it... agreed there are loads of larkheads out there who think they know it all... so let us know what you decide...

cheers I'll look at shark and Apr as may want an upgrade but doubt i will get it passed the wife as i already have the Subaru as a toy.
i would like it mapped to give more boost at 50% throttle i.e give about 80% of what you get at full throttle. This is how I mapped the Subaru's and it gives a nice lazy but quick drive as you don't have to keep mashing the throttle onto the carpet to keep it spooling.
The Prodrive remap on my latest 2007 STi was terrible at part throttle. I think they had tried to make it more linear and less turbo'like, part throttle boost of the Prodrive remap was actually less then that of the standard STi map. Part throttle of 1bar and peak full throttle of 1.3bar made a hell of a diference to the drive yet peak of 1.3bar was no more then the original prodrive map.

Thanks for the replies, I have a few options now.
I just need to verify if it's already been mapped with a boost gauge, as the AFR I monitor on the wideband up the exhaust doesnt seem to match what I'm being told it stock AFR.

Is the AMD quoted firgure of +80ft/lb real, as I notice it quotes 'upto' which could be read as 'its possible but with other supporting mods'. That would IMHO be a rather large punch of boost (more then the 1.2bar I would expect on that turbo) at low rpm, and then tailing off at the top end.

Blufin quotes nowhere near that kind of torque increase.

Up to, as in... if you were Stage 1 then around the 40 lb figure would be right and anything Stage 2 would be around the 80 lb figure or more. 80lb is very unlikely from the remap alone and without add ons/mods e.g. down pipe, exhaust, hybrid turbo etc... when I had my remap, 42lb was on the dyno... no mods whatsoever just the remap.

My octavia vrs 2.0 tfsi with an Evoms intake made 251 bhp and 413 nm on a stage 1 shark remap.
