hi all

just a quick one, can you fit an rns-e out of an a4 p/n 8eo 035 192 t in an audi a3?? is it just a case of changing the face plate or is it just a waste of time??

is the coding on a a4 diffrent to the a3..

my car is a a3 2.0 tdi sport on a 54 plate

Can be done by changing the faceplate.

Coding is different as A4 uses K-Line as opposed to the A3's CAN so will need coding with VCDS.

thanks for that jb, my friend is selling one and he will give me it cheap i was just wondering if it was possible and worth the hassle or to just buy an a3 one but thanks for that

Where can you get just the faceplate ? I got a cheap(er) A4 unit but couldn't find just a faceplate !

Thanks for the offer Raz but I've now got an A3 one ! I haven't installed it yet and, to be honest, don't know if I am going to because of the thefts particularly in my area (Leeds-ish).
