Well after putting the S3 on Bills dyno for the first time since he mapped it with the hybid some 3 years ago it turns out ive lost over 40hp but gained 50lbft which has got me slightly worried. Whats strange is Liquid said 333hp and 320lbft yet I only got 272bhp and 301lbft. It looks like its boosting fine and holds 24psi perfectly. So now starts the job of a few more upgrades and the hunt for where my ponies have gone.

Plans:
Wellycooler (ordered)
TFSI coil pack
New Plugs
Oil Change
V3 Relentless Manifold

Now this isnt going to be a quick job as i have my wedding in Feb. Plan is for Bill to weld pipes on to wellycooler so i dont loose my day lights (broken head light switch has fogs on all time)

Other than these bits anything anybody can think of i should change or do?

That is true bill but it does seem strange that ive lost bhp but gained lbft. It all seams to be in the higer rev range as well.

id be happy with that change!
i thought when you'd posted in the dyno thread you'd LOST 50lbs torque.
id rather have torque than horsepower.

do you have an 80mm tip?
consider an inlet mani of some description if you have the dosh.

doesn't liquid gauge just convert maf to bhp?

Wellycooler has just turned up. I only ordered it sunday night after getting back from Bills

Man this things huge and ****** cold!

I would get an uprated Actuator Steve... My CR one was blowing/leaking

its not struggling for boost...
if anythings its higher than I would set knowing what I know now, some 3 years on.
1bar actuator on steve's, unported, so no doubt creep in there also..
wmi when not set up optimally can hurt power... depending on nozzle size, pressure setpoints etc....

Removal tool for my wheel bolts turned up this morning to. So i can try and get the fronts off after the nightmare at Bills of snapping the old one. Remembered it wasnt me that last did them but the garage that changed the steering rack gator and drop links that they failed on its last MOT so will be going back and having a few words with them at some point

Hum nozzle size ill have to check which nozzle i fitted when i get back. Maybe thats part of my problem.

looking in the bag of spare nozzles it looks like i have the middle one in so will fit the smaller one at some point soon

Just got back from work and thought id drill out and tap the bit that broke in the wheel bolt. Got all the tools out and got ready. Guess what........

It had fallen out. Bargin! so now out comes the impact gun to undo the bolts and copper grease them

No joy with my Impact gun so tomorrow when i get home I'll go back to the garage that did them up so ****** tight

Well i took the S3 back to the garage that had the front wheels off and the guys there were very nice and managed to get the bolts undone. His first words when trying were "F**k me which C**T did these up?" which i laughed my *** of to. But there now loose and greased up so all good now back to the hunt for my missing power

Plans for this weekend are trying the smallest WMI nozzle and see if i can feel any difference in power.

I see your V1 and I raise you a V2.

Also ****** cold!

Judging by the pic, & if you're old enough to remember it. Here's one I made earlier Blue Peter style with some bottles, glue & sticky backed plastic!

Well today i fitted the smaller nozzle then had the wheels off to clean them and then cleaned the car. After that i took it out for a little spin to just clean the brakes up and managed this

Now thats 7bhp more than ive seen before through the liquid. The question is will it reproduce it on the rollers????

No its a Stock AMK head. I very much laugh at the liquid value but to see an increase by changing the wmi nozzle is always a bonus.

Bill i expect that after its been to you. lol

has anyone ever correlated or confirmed how liqui comes up with its power measurement?
is it from block 120 torque on ecu or airflow divide by a constant?

anyone?

Just looked on Racediagnostics web site and it can be done either way but defult is off maf

worth comparing what its torque model looks like as a comparison
airflow being somewhat misleading.... to measured power

Well the manifold is now ordered. cant wait for it to turn up ad be a paper weight at work until i can get it all fitted

Having second thoughts about keeping the fog lights on the bumper with the wellycooler
