With 45k miles on the clock of my 2009, 2.0 TFSI Quattro with AUX engine code A3, I'm thinking about changing the Rev G (06 F145 710 G, Diaphragm with Blue Seal) DV valve.

A few days ago read an article on this, but ****** me if I can find it now.
Can someone please advise which replacement Rev versions I can use and where to buy online, original, oem, or other types.
Thanks

I've got a Forge 007 in mine fitted by JBS in Sheffield. Sweet as a nut.

Revision D, I think its the latest and greatest, I changed mine and instantly noticed a difference, best £55 spent

Ta for the replies guys. Bought a Rev D from GSF for £46 inc VAT and free delivery.

i though 'G' was the latest and greatest, i have a D and am certain it leaks. i can't see how the plastic piston makes a seal either

If you ask for the latest revision of this DV they will give you a D

There are two parts to the DV part numbers you need to look at.

The main revision is to do with the 3rd character..

06F145710 is the old parts (diaphragm)
06H145710 are the newer parts (piston)

B/C/D/G at the end refers to minor revisions.

the same way your piston rings seal against the cylinder bore.

It does not have sprung steel rings :lmfao:

plastic against ally doesn't make for a great airtight seal against 25 psi, i was doing a lot of reading up into the best one to have. i bought a forge DV and hated it so went and bought a 'D' revision and i can hear it leaking back into the TIP so googled the hell out of it and seems 'G' gives the better seal. one of the tuning companies reported issues with the 'D' as well....

I said 'the same way your piston rings seal against the cylinder bore'

Its not that difficult to understand...

Engine - Pison/ Piston ring/ Cylinder bore
DV - Piston/ rubber o-ring/ DV bore

The forge one works in the same way - rubber o-rings.

I cant see why you don't like the Forge one? I fitted one instead of the stock rev.C valve and its much better. You cant even tell I have it installed.

my D has no rubber O ring which is why i am struggling to grasp how PLASTIC seals sufficiently to ally, i'm well aware of how a piston inside the engine works thanks for the breakdown.

lack of post count does not equal lack of knowledge.....

the forge one caused turbo stall and the chatter sound no matter what spring, ordered a new piston and service kit, ensured 4mm ID vac line was all new and secure but still did not release boost properly. sounded good but not healthy for my new turbo.
