So since my accident i have done a few things... and what a journey its been!

Your car looks stunning. Much respect to you & your helpers for doing all the facelift work.
You must be very pleased with the outcome.

I was wondering where you had disappeared to ash!

Strong work as always and fair play for doing the conversion with your own hands! Looks absolutely stunning. RS grill looks legit!

I dont have the balls that big... il leave that kind of thing to Amar
but i do have a few more things up my sleeve

....a pair of silver shoes to match your new grille?? (private joke)

Your car is looking juicy mate. Hopefully I'll see it in the flesh soon.

PS: You'll have to drive around a bit slower than at warp speed now so people can see it! (another private joke)

it looks perfect!! amazing job!!

......

noticed your post ref the black surround. yep think your car would look even more special with the chrome surround changed to black. I did this on the RS3 grill i got hold of.

Messaged you on whatsapp Ash, not sure if its come through or not. Car looks absolutely stunning fella, you must be over the moon! Cars a keeper now huh!

Good work mate, looks top notch. :icon_thumright:

What have you done with your bonnet, and any other bits needed for a 8p1 to 8p2 conversion?

Thanks

Looks spot on mate. Them foreign lorry drivers have got a lot to answer for. Looks like a completely different car, but I suppose half of it is.

top work fella i remember seeing your car that night at ace after the lorry decided to play squash with you
and you still gave me time to show me your headunit set up when most people would have been metal with rage after what happened to you glad it all worked out well in the end looking forward to seeing the car in the flesh at ace again

Stunning work Ask, out of all the conversions i have read yours seemed the most simplest.

Loving the new alloys too

this thread makes me want to facelift mine... :sorry:

As I said bro, wouldn't have completed it without you and Waqar! You guys are the best!
Honestly can't give enough credit to Waqar... Top guy! He should be along shortly... And to all you guys not feeling his RS3 rep it's an absolute beauty in person! A proper head turner!

Still have it, will let you know if anything changes with the other guy though...
and yes all you need is the bonnet and front bumper with the bits (fogs, grills, etc) which i have

aww dude believe me that day i was gutted! i tried not to show it though...
will deffo be coming along to the next ace meet... though this time i think i will wrap up in 5 layers and bring a blanket too... its so damn cold!

I like it! But I think the grille is too silver for me. I would have it black.
Still, good work.

Car looks stunning mate - just goes to show what can be made out of a bad situation!

How do the wheels run? Much rubbing? Been looking at these myself but wasn't sure how much poke there would be on the ET33

Ash,

Just got back from my hols, to see this thread. The car looks amazing, I am so pleased everything worked out for you.

seeing this makes me wanna sell my cupra and buy another a3!
well done sir! amazing transformation ;)

The car does look amazing although i think that some nice deep dish alloys may look better.

I do like the alloys you have mind just think it would look more aggressive :aggressive:

i did think about it and at one point i was going to get some but the only ones that take my fancy are the BBS Super RS or the Work VX-XX which are both mega money!

Still, good work.

Each to their own but I love the grille in silver it keeps it looking classy and less gangsta

Both good choices if you were to get them. Also like the BBS-LM;s but maybe a little over done nowadays.

You could get reps for alot cheaper but thats if you didnt mind them not being Genuine.

Nah the LMs are too common and overdone, and if i was going to go deep dish it would have to be something special

Haha i'm sure i said that in my post

Yup, really like the Super RS. You thought about 3SDMS? Maybe not deep dish mainly but can be very concave!

really wanted my alloys with more concave like the A5s have

ModIMG_0306.jpg

but cant get them on the A3 with the right width and offset...

i honestly fell in love with my alloys after seeing lots of pics of them on sportbacks making it look like a baby RS6!

Yup thats the reason why i got my changed my 7.5J S-Line alloys to 8.5J S-Line alloys because they were so concave and filled my arches well. What J are yours?

They look good on the car, colour suits it well too. You could get away with just the rears being more concave if you could find a pair...

Hey Ash lookin really good matey! Loving the RS3 grill. You got my fav alloys too!!! See there was good coming from the accident after all. You got a sexy car indeed now

****** Hell Ash! That looks amazing.

I was inactive for a year, but I have missed a lot! I have caught up with everything on your blog. But this conversion had to be applauded so here I am lol! The car looks stunning.

You have gone for the best alloys for the sportback imo.

Well done mate!!!! I love it!

Thanks dude! I'm still loving it although i have put her on winters for the time being as one of the 19s has a mouse on the side of the tyre so i need to replace it.
got a small update coming soon hopefully
