Turbo possibilities

I am looking at the turbo upgrade on 2.0t dtm. I know ko4 is usual route. What other turbos are available? Any direct swap? I don't fancy having to fabricate a down pipe etc for the ko4. Thanks

RAI Motorsport K0R-GT will be a direct swap, its a ko3 unit with k04 internals

So basically you could get the internals from a k04 and put them into a k03 housing? Im assuming the k03 housing will need machining so that it fits in? If its that simple - its 4 bolts and the internals are out (with the turbo/manifold off) ......why go the whole way of swapping the whole turbo unit? and piping up?

Think there is some serious machining involved and the internal from the KO-R are not std ko4 items, but by all means do give it a go and feedback.

Most likely will be alot of machining involved! The turbo I brought off you - I swapped the cartridge out for mine and it works fine..... Just thinking I should of swapped it for a K04 cartridge at the time.

If I get hold of a K04 I'll see if its do'able.

still got the k04 if your interested mate? Was gonna save it but the conversions easily a year or 2 away. £250
