Hi all!

My mate has just bought a VW Lupo and the steering wheel has been changed and thus left the airbag light on...

I have tried to disable it with VCDS but still comes up with the faults and the light on the dash

Is there any way to disable the lot? Soft coding maybe?

Log as follows

He needs to get it through a MOT!

Any ideas would be great
Cheers

Sorry, steering wheel changed to a Sparco iirc sports wheel with NO Airbag!

Easiest way is to fit the proper steering wheel in the car.

Very true, however he doesn't have the original wheel

After some digging it seems that the control module has been scanned by an inappropriate scanner and rendered it useless

Looks like an expensive fix, I just thought there my be a way to remove the module and decode the rest with VCDS to turn all of the airbag system off?
