I've decided.
After Audrey it will have to be a A8 D2 or a D3 TDI depending on when she dies.
Unless I really need an estate when that time comes but I hope not.

What would you get after the death and destruction of your B5?

A D2 V8 TDI in black would be awesome in a luxobarge cool sort of way. Maybe a D3 but only if it were the earlier one with the B6 style grille, dont like the gawping mouth version that came later.

It wouldnt be any fun to drive though, so i cant say i'd actaully buy one.

I'd struggle to find something to replace the TQS. 4wd and a turbo are a must, which leaves you either a newer A4, something gay like an A3 or TT, or something japanese (evo/scooby etc etc). Not sure i'd want to go down the jap route, as i dont really like the image. Probably a B7 A4 2.0 TFSI Quattro if i had to choose something newer.

That's the problem I think.
A lot of the newer stuff does nothing for me.
But a nicely done A8 would be the dog danggely bits.
I drive a auto, so not bothered about speed.
Just s nice relaxing drive.

Or a 730D sport. Hmmmm

Id have to side with aragorn with the B7 2.0 TFSI quattro, id also love a B5 RS4, FL Cupra R, DS3 THP(if i got it cheap from work) or just have done with it and buy a prius lol Only joking it would be a TQS again i doubt mine will ever dye unless death gets his hands on me or rights the car off.

I have a soft spot for my B5 well any B5 TBH !!

Thats what I'd like but I would prob end up with an older 330d as it's just my daily drive.

Well seeing as my old B5 has moved on I can say for definite that I will have an A4 Tdi Quattro Sport Avant in ocean pearlesant blue, with 19" BBS LM reps and AP coilovers. It's been great!

I have a liking for these aswell, lovely looking cars, big arches etc but understated.

My next will likely be a E60 535d M Sport, with remap. Cracking for a daily, good prices for them lately.

If and unlikely when i get rid of the Audi, i will just replace it with another toy, its a weekender for me, have a hankering to go back to old Ford RS's, another S2 Turbo maybe.

M3 is a very strong contender but my brother has one and it might look a bit gimpy having matching cars. And the 4 doors of the Audi make it far more practical for somebody of my age.

saw one for sale locally a few years back for silly money

but imagine you need silly money to insure and run it!
other luxury barge contenders I want are the 750i 7 Series BMW with the V12. Strip the zort out to here that engine and I could live with the lack of 4wd and handling on dry days

The wife is after a new car.
I suggested the A8, she said no, I carried on suggesting the A8.
She no longer wants a new car.
