ASN Dyno Day @ Badger5 - Sunday 11th November 2012

What's the plan for the day Bill?

turn up, having checked your fluid levels, tyres and ride heights... with some £ and we will crack on and run thru the cars in an order which we can sort on the day.

I intend on starting at 10am, I will be here from earlier of course setting up.
I will be handing out DynoDay sheets for folks to complete.
11am, we will stop for the Rememberance 1min Silence

Bring your own drinks/butties this time, I wont have the van here this time I don think. (he's gone awol)

You have to come, hybrid show down! Although I'll still by on my old 'rod safe' map I think, so won't expect anything over 300.

I'm up for this seeing as I haven't seen Bill, Paul, Nick and Joe in ages!!!

I may come down to this it's a bit of a mission for me but be good to meet up with everyone. I was only at Bills a few weeks ago and had my car on the rolling road so may take on and fit my 3" Dp and sport cat which I have not be looking foward to. I won't put my name down yet as I'm not 100% sure yet

293 at Bills when old faithful was still running.

Fresh engine and slightly stronger actuator, plus the addition of meth and a 3'' exhaust and I'd like to think I'll see 300bhp this time, but I'm not sure how much engines 'loosen up' in terms of power when new, I know many people say they free up a lot after 1-2k miles, and mine will have about 400 miles on when it hits the dyno, so we'll see!

So long as it equals or betters the 293 I don't mind :)
 
Am hoping I make the power it had when it left bills when mapped although should ideally be a tad higher as wasn't running meth then ;)
 
Never been to a dyno day before so anything over 210 is a bonus although hope to be pleasantly surprised! I'm not chasing any numbers just hope it's running well that's the main thing.

Look forward to meeting you all down there and will bring some treats to share.
 
With a flat battery and a ******** MAF I am hoping for 54hp... as I'll prob be in the Golf...

Of course Darren has failled to enlighten us to his spec at all, so we can only blindly guess.

I'm going to make a wild assumption here, and say No Darren, you don't stand a chance :laugh:

I have found that you have a ko4 hybrid, and recently have had new rings.

You might make 285bhp, but you won't make 300lbft. This is my guess.

Will be like a little hybrid convention. Shame I can't get up to Niki before hand to get my map tweaked for some man boost :(
 
Sorry guys been busy all day spec is forged pistons and rods new rings 1k ago new hybrid stage 2 not really a hybrid too be fair lol ported waste gate cut back blades ect 3inch down pipe race cat 2.5 inch miltek non resonated silicone tip brand new n75 maf all boost hoses vacuumed hoses silicone so I'm hoping for 300ftlb at least racing bearings and arp bolts and a big front mount intercooler clutch is my only worrie is this achievable without changing manifold on this spec bhp isn't what I'm after torque really ????? If no why???
 
I do have a inline walbro o44 pump and in bay filter is it worth fitting this before I come tuffty as I will have to buy the attachments from bill???Bosh sorry
 
No idea what figures I'll see, but that's why I'm going. I bought the car with a re-map & 007P already on it from APS (Brackley) and since then have added a v1 B5 TIP & Jetex cone filter. Just interested to see what power she's producing and looking forward to a social with the rest of you lot.

The aim is 260 Paul, 270 is realistic though, I have a remap and B5 TIP only aswell!

Yours is a better colour though Maz, so it'll almost certainly make more.

it's a well known fact that mineral grey 8L's produce epic figures on Bills rollers!

I think Paul's will make more power, either way, his car should be quicker, he has less paint, which means he's lighter, he's detailed it a thousand times over! :laugh:
 
Yeah, even if it's equal power on the rollers, mine will slip through the air more freely when moving due to the depth of wax on it!

Maz - do you have an APS map? Yeah that'll be really interesting to see how they compare. Not heard of anyone else with an APS map on here. Mine was done at the end of 2008, before I owned it. Presumably the map hasn't changed since then. Guess we'll find out...
 
I ain't got a clue what numbers I'm chasing, this will be my first time at a dyno day too, I don't even know if I'm mapped!!

Will be good to see what I've got as its an AMK 210.
 
Looking for 300bhp and 500lbs/ft, might need to look at inlet temps as seem to be a bit high?, suggestions anyone?
