I am looking at an '09 58reg S3 in brilliant red.Only 22k on the clock with Sat Nav Plus,Bose&6 CD Player. Is currently located at a bmw dealership in Hull.Asking price is 18k,which is obviously negotiable, any thoughts from you guys would be appreciated.Thanks..

18K sounds pretty bang on to me, got an pics?

Is that a facelift model? If so sounds OK with the mileage. May need a service and tyres at that mileage = £800!

my mate with an 09 - 26k on the clock sold for 16ish.

Guessing this is a manual? The S-Trons of this age and mileage go for a lot more than 16K!

I am After another s3 myself and Seen this myself as I live in hull, nice car but has silver headlining makes it look so tacky so just walked away, plus it's over priced, there is a ibis white fully loaded facelift with buckets ect on 58 plate only 26k miles and is up for £16995 maybe have a look at that one on pistonheads I would have it myself but already had white lol.

That seems a good reasonable price compared to the others s3's for sale, its it in good condition ?

Coming from a reputable BMW garage it should be serviced before purchase but demand it is and get them to put 4 new tyres on it aswell. Any descent garage will if they know the sale is going to be definite.

buckets is the only thing mine is missing im gutted i dont have them

Yeah, I waited 2 years for an s-tronic with buckets to come onto the market at a realistic price. Would never have std 'sports' seats again ... EVER!

Thanks for all the comments, and after some full on negotiations a deal has been done.
They will be taking my 330d in px with no cash deposit.

Two new front tyres and one years warranty(was only three months!)Rears have 5/6mm of tread. If all goes to plan will collect next Friday which will be a 500mile round trip..

Well the deal has finally been done and i will be drivind to Hull tomorrow to collect the S3.Will try and put some pics up at the weekend,if it stays dry long enough..

Well the deals done and after a roundtrip of 520miles the S3 is parked up at its new home.Stage 1 remap at AMD in Essex is on the cards, but may wait until we have winter out of the way.

Good handover from BMW Stratstone Hull, even filled the tank with BP Ultimate.Still have a quarter of a tank left!

Looks lovely mate. I really like it in Red - is it actually called 'Brilliant' or 'Misano'? I do really like the double white stitching on the inside on the flat bottom and on the gear gaitor!

There's not much you need to do tbh....... maybe some MY10 rear lights (slightly darker than current), 10+12mm spacers, lower it by 20mm, larger & darker wheels (19in RS3 Rotors!) and you're there ;)

Re the remap I had my 2.0T done by AMD Woking. I'm fairly impressed with the power increase but a little disappointed they did not send me a certificate as promised - had no response from phonecalls and emails so kinda left a sour taste in the mouth :/

Not big fun or red cars at all however Black edition wheels and grill look rather good on a red S3. On top of that dont forget privacy glass it will give it nice contrast and more depth to the red paint.

Will definitely have the windows tinted from B Pillar back. Not to sure about the Black Edition Grilles on red, although they do seem to suit some colours better than others.I do like the rotor style wheels but may change to a set of bbs wheels.

Nice to hear your comment on AMD i am only 50miles or so from them.

Wow you travelled all the way up to Hull

I saw a nice S3 in Ibis White in Wigan but it's a little far from me in Essex haha

I think I'm too fussy thought I want a facelift model with privacy glass, heated seats, flat bottom multi function wheel and RNS-E (altho the one in Wigan didn't have RNS-E I'd just get Audi to do it) only thing putting me off is buying privately as I'd rather the comfort of a dealer selling but the ones on Audi website are too much for too little imo anyway

Thats not unusual for me to travel to buy a car,as it can worth your while to do so.
You can save alot of money buying privately, you just have to do the research.

Understand what your saying about buying from the dealer, and of course there are some very good finance deals on offer..
