hey champs.
Im jack from china, but im study in Australia.
I own a 2000 Audi s3 8L, first gen? in silver. rs4 style rims, well i thought its a fake one.
everything is stock except GIAC stage 1 ECU, Bigger Intercooler( did by first owner).
The car had driven 234K km ... lol



well, i just blown my engine last nite. (2000 audi s3 8L AMK)
3rd gear all the way to 5000RPM, then some thing broke, feels like the transfercase,
and engine start vibrating.. between 1000 RPM to 2000RPM. and i smell something
burning. there no engine check light come up, so i pull over, switch off the engine.
then start again, still vibrating..... coz my home near by, only 3km away, so i just dont
give a **** drive all the way to home. Jack the car up, go under the engine bay, my mate
help me start the car, the noise came from gearbox side. there is no white smoke from
muffer, but the smellllll......... check the oil level holy crap, its near bottom. i just checked
last week its right level. did some research:

1. flywheel broke?
2. engine mount?
3. transfer case?
4. coil pack?
5. one cylinder finished?




If one cylinder heard or piston gone,
in my opinion there is no point to rebuilt engine due to cost.
what im thinking is just swap entire engine and gearbox from 1999 audi tt quattro .

my question is will it straght fit? coz early mod s3 AMK engine, well the tt is BAM engine.
all the mounts, looms the same?

anyone nos? im a noob. lol

yes will bolt right in, if you keep your S3 ECU you wont have to code anything dude, plug and play
