Hi All,

Bit of a weird post! I have the following problem:

IMG 12561

How do I get the cats from next door to stay away from my 2 cars?! I clean the car, wake up in the morning and there's muddy cat paw prints all over my car, on the roof, bonnet, windscreen and even the wing mirrors. I can imagine that they've already scratched the car to be honest but I want the prevent any more!
There must be some kind of spray I can get?

P.s - I don't want to hurt or kill the cats. Just a little gentle persuasion to get them to **** off

I use a product called "Scent Off" on my garden to stop the little buggers using it as a toilet. Seems to do the trick, I imagine if you sprinkled some in the vicinity of where you park it would probably do the job. You get it from garden centres.

get a motion sensor dog bark alarm outside. Sorted.

Or the ultrasonic high pitched noise jobby. that may do it.

Thanks for the quick replies. I'll give these a go. If they use my car roof as a toilet then I may have to go to more drastic measures! ha

my neighbours cat wont go near my cars now

One word......Dogs.

laser field with flashing red lights all round the premises.

then a tranquilliser mounted within a garden gnome with automatic aim and fire function.

That way, everyone's happy.

Sprinkle pepper between your land and the neighbours.........cats hate it. And also if you've ever seen gardens that have plastic bottles filled with water and slightly dug into the ground.....thats to deter cats......I dunno why but it works. My grandparents used this all the time. He was all for shooting them but she tried the water method and it does work.

^ I think this idea wins!

I could push it a stage further and poo on their car?

:sign_ot: slightly but you'll love it. My mate had changed the cambelt on his old Audi and went to the garage for some provisions. Left the fitment of the guard for the next day. It was real frosty that night and a cat had crawled into the engine bay to keep warm. 0500 start for him at work so jumped in his car and started it up which was followed by clatter bang and engine packed in. The cat had got caught in the timing belt and dragged through. Imagine the neighbours horror when he went to the door with a chewed up cat collar saying ' I believe this belongs to you' and 'if you want your cat back bring a bag coz theres not much left'.

Ha that'll learn it. I think that would push our already pretty frosty relationship with our neighbours over the edge if my car ate one of their cats!

Not sure what to think of this! But I am laughing!

did the car live again?

Did some damage as the cambelt came off. Dont think he had the bottle to ask the cats owners to assist in the financial apsects of repairing the engine as it did belong to them.

You could say.....it was a catastrophic accident....

i have a few solutions guaranteed to get rid of your feline companions!
i dont think an open forum is a place for me to advise though!
they would not return lets say that!
i know a couple of tricks pigeon fanciers use!
i dont use this hokus pokus personally though, as i have a springer spaniel! cats dont mess with springers much!
cats dont come near my garden because of my dog, and i feed the birds too!

"EDIT" Also, i have heard of lion poo! yes lion poo! very difficult to get hold of, but possible, and you spread this around the area you dont want to see cats.
the little cat comes into the area, smells the markings from a much bigger cat and vacates sharpish!

I have 7 springer spaniels.... 5 brothers, and their mum and a dad.... + like 5 cats... and they love each other....clean each other, nudge heads like they do... etc....

Flamin weird shizzle.....

So much so..., i've trained 2 to "man up"

i've singled one of the cats out......all it now takes is a hisssss from me....then 2 of the dogs hunt down the exact cat
ive trained them to "find".

So if you want to borrow one of my dogs, i probably wouldnt notice it'd gone.

Bad tempered rottweiler should do a better job.....

Repeat offender perhaps?

This is my little criminal:

...He just got busted for four ounces of catnip... then they found twenty razor sharp claws concealed about his person... He'll be doing a mandatory five unless he can get a good lawyer!

orange peel, cats hate oranges. if you have cats try it. its well funny! one whiff and they scarper!

peel 5/6 oranges stick the peel in the blender with 3 of the oranges. pour it around the car.
