Saw one today on the road, and it looks pish!!! Doesn't look mean like the 8p2, looks like a small q3 !!! What is Audi playing at!!!

Doubt this was an 8V S3; probably an 8V S-Line.

No 8V S3 yet.

iirc earliest deliveries are Q2 2013.
Sportback comes later, possibly 2014.

I saw the 8V in the dealers and had a play around with it... The Front end is just ugly! The lights look ok but the actual body is a right minger. Now the rear end looks miles better than the 8P 3door rear and the boot is quite spacious.
Interior wise the dash looks ok, although its very BMW in there it's not that bad but the seats are horrible. Need to wait to see the more higher spec ones and see what the leathers and buckets will be like
the new built in stereo is quite nice although I couldn't get most of the new features on as the demo models were all locked down with the Nav CDs removed... Wanted to see the new google and Facebook ad ins

New A3 top spec. was at Goodwood Festival of Speed. Interior detailing improved as was tactile nature of surfaces and switchgear. Exterior did seem a bit like a grown up A1, which made the latter look like a poor mans A3. At least the cabriolet will be more obviously different to an A1, but then to some an A3 Cab. is a poor mans A5 Cab. I could go on .. but I won't.
