ASN's Pub

Please excuse Andy and I rambling on, largely about Jardo and his funny claims, then about it being boring being up front on our own, then about me trying too hard and getting a bit messy.

Can hear how hot the car is after the session, as it's constantly popping and banging all on it's own on overrun!

Loved the car on the ko3S, it wasn't quick, but it was reliable. Hoping when I finish the current build I'll have something similar, only with another 100bhp.

LMAO jardo lapping people. clearly not, the KING of bull****.

had a busy day today guys, fitted my trailing arm bushes AT LAST, hopefully it dials out my toe in! getting checked on wednesday.
my rear tyres are screwed, fitted in may btw, so ive ordered another set.
thats 4 pairs of rears, and 2 pairs of fronts, in about 18months or something like that.

also lowered the rear end 8mm, took an adjuster out my coil overs, and im going to set the front ride height tomoro, maybe lift it a tad, make sure its all even.

These god awful Infinty tyres have got to go! Just been out to fill up my meth tank and check my tyre pressures. The one I had a new valve put in a few weeks back only had 14.5psi in it! ****** things. Can't wait till pay day so I can get some decent rubber on the wheels.

Cleaned the car today and did some logs, logs suggest between 220 and 225bhp. Not bad for stage 1 R Tech figures ;)

still going for the vreds fred? i have been swayed by the goodyear assymetrics 2 at only £7 more per corner! better miles from them and better overall reviews!

the vreds do look a bit horny though! great tread pattern! obviously you need different qualities from a tyre than my barge requires!
dont let jardo brainwash you about kumhos either bud! :beerchug:

Vreds are classed as premium tyres in the same band as the big boys like Michelin, Bridgestone, and Goodyear. Khumo's are in the next bracket down with Falkens etc.

Vreds were good in the wet and dry but for me after the first 3mm of tread went I thought they were poor. But maybe it's because I notice the difference more in a fwd with less grip to begin with?

yep, mate we know this but somebody else, (no names) thinks there epic!!!!!!!

Don't be a **** Chez.

I NEVER compared the two, simply said that you and the other **** clown were being total **** tards by saying they were crap because for their price point and when compared to other similar tires they are just as good if not better in some respects.

This forum>full of ****s. (you not included though Chez, you're sound as a pound. I'm just fed up with the sanctimonious ****ers that seem to frequent this place for three weeks then **** off to the next forum)

oh dear!

me and young fred were merely discussing the merits of tyres my old sport!
i just so happened to quote your opinions on the said subject of tyre choice!
maybe on the fiat/bmw/renault forums that you frequent more regular than here, they might have the same views on tyres?
who knows eh!

I frequent all sorts of forums, not many more regular than this one though. HOWEVER, this forum has a special breed of "holier than thou" users who believe because they own an Audi they are kind of a big deal and throw their self righteous opinions around as though they were fact and look to belittle anybody else as soon as an opposing opinion arises. But you'll never have a chance to catch them out in the real world and away from their keyboards; because that's where they live. Those sorts of members tend to be the ones that join up and never stay for much longer than 6 months.

You can say I float in and out on here, but I've been on here for almost 5 years now and have made a couple of posts every single day as an average. :)

EVERYBODY that gets in this thread is a hero though; as are pretty much all of the admins and moderators. Which is why I stay.

:)

very tidy a3 that jardo, hope you look after that one. rare wheels too, never ever seen any in 17.

Thanks bro, they're pretty cool wheels I have to agree.

They popped up on ebay a couple of years ago for £200 BNIB with no sizes listed, just "S4 wheels" as the title. They didn't have any center caps so I could see that they were multi stud, we took a punt on them and they turned out alright. 17x8.5j with a fairly decent offset too.

LOL, thanks Scott. How's Bristol?

morning lads,

super cold today in the lovely north east. thick fog everywhere. but the car loved to cold air for the boosty drive to work.

is every one at work today or is it days off for any one if so what you going to do?

The Touareg need's some new sensors.
The Audi had a oil service.

Air bag light came on on the way to work.
I need to get it turned off.

So you only got to 6 quid of petrol, should have just brimmed the tank with diesel, it would have been fine.... I think? lol
