Got the S3 back today, feels alot better now actually boosts, sounded very quiet when i first picked it up and the further i drove and the harder i drove it, it started to sound like it was blowing when you come onto boost, Turbo is quite loud when it spools up is this normal? has a Forge DV and a Cone Filter.....
I dont think it is blowing but just kept getting louder until it really sounds like its boosting and got faster aswell, maybe ECU was adjusting as turbo hasnt worked right for a long time id imagine.
Another thing when your holding a certain revs cruising at one speed it seems to feel like its stuttering, so very slightly, no stuttering through boost, also is it me or do the 210bhp ones not feel overly fast standard? my brother has a 1.9 16v E36 BMW with 140bhp and he did put his foot down before me and i missed 3rd gear but he was almost keeping up...lol

Water leak appears to have gone fingers crossed.

Also previous owner said it has R32 front brakes can anyone tell from this pic....

Once i get some cash up together will get it plugged in.

any logs ? they'd help to be honest, a 140 rwd shouldn't be able to keep up with an awd 210, specially at higher speed when weight counts less

I agree as i hit 3rd i really started to go then..

Anyone able to shed any light on the above issues?

The misfiring has come back now, only on full throttle it starts misfiring or hesitating and also as mentioned it misses slightly when holding a steady revs....

Ok will do, could it be anything serious tho or a cheap fix?

Coilpack is not to expensive, I think about £60-£80 last time I replaced one. If a boost leak then it could be free if its just a leaky pipe.

Ok mate no probs, this the only two causes of a slight misfire?

coilpack breaking down mate change them and might as well do the plugs as well..... for decent ones

Thanks Dan, so is that deffo what it will be? will try get it plugged in soon.

If doing the coils you may as well get some tfsi ones for about £70 from awesomegti.

Ahh right ok, can anyone confirm brakes? as i said i need to get it plugged in first.
